This isn't about the recent bannings/erratas but about UDE's policy on Bans/erratas. I'm not quite sure what Hump's up to here. Dr. Light was ridic, they errata... Overload is the nuts, they ban... ARB, JLOA both bans... Yet Parademon a errata. From what I can see (I've been on a few months hiatus) Parademons functionality, much like Dr. Lights has been changed. Although I don't personally agree with this method, I don't see why it also didn't apply to the other cards (especially overload, them having printed a "fixed" version next set). Is anyone else as puzzled as I with Hump's (or whomever is the one making these decisions for R&D...) decisions? If they don't want to ban cards, than they should stick to the errataing to change function. If they do want to ban cards, than they should ban the problem cards that aren't clearly fixable (Clocktower is easily the best example of this) and not change their functionality (or rather, intended functionality). Where is the sluggish Humphries from his MTG days? Is he simply not using that head of his, or are others at fault? I don't expect a R&D response, or even a glance at this topic but perhaps someone has some thoughts about general policy to share. As it seems now, R&D is trying to please the masses, which is never the correct answer, as it seems no one is happy in the end, be it the Pros, Barns/"serious" players or the casuals. There will be Necros, there will be TA's, they cannot be stopped but what can be stopped is the poor treatment of the situations created by the game breaking cards, which vs did so well to avoid that first year...
Than again, I can't even get to the part where I play the limited that I'm actually half-decent at, so what do I know about ccgs, or even vs?
Edit: Title really doesn't quite grasp at what I'm trying to bring to light, subject addresses this.
Edit 2: It seems that title fixed itself, or you can change your titles now =).
