Okay, in the Infinite Crisis set, Superboy of earth-prime came out, but he really stunk. I think my fellow Infinite Crisis comic book readers will agree with me when I say that Superboy should be much more powerful than a simple five-drop with a cosmic counter. Here's my Superboy-Prime:
Superboy, Earth-Prime
Team: Crisis, Team Superman
Cost: 8
Atk/Def: 18/18
Flight, Range
Text: Whenever Superboy stuns a character, you may discard a Crisis character from your hand. If you do, put a +1 Atk/+1 Def counter on Superboy. Cosmic: Remove Superboy's cosmic counter, discard two Crisis characters-> put two +1 Atk/+1 Def counters on Superboy.
Yeah, well, with that thinking, everyone would want their favorate characters to be 8 drops. ;)
That said, though, nice...
Personally, I thought they did the whole Midnight Sons character line wrong way back in Marvel Knights. Only one Morbius, and he's a lousy 3 drop with no ties to the Midnight Sons (or at the very least a Marvel Knights version). Johnny Blaze (the hellfire shotgun weilding hombre), is nowhere to be seen, nor the Hellfire Bikes. Blade gets 2 versions, yet neither strike me as appealing. Hannibal King gets a decent card, albeit limited in use. Franke Drake is nowhere to be seen, nor any of the Redeemers. Vengeance, too limited in use. With that said, most of the Underworld characters come off pretty poorly. *sigh*
