I like baddest of the bad because. i can use it in combo with Ahmed (incase i really do need to) to keep my self from loosing the game. It also helps out with the discard facter of the deck so that i don't have to worry about my hand size going to nothing really fast.
I might Try out using the Mr. Myx in here. Well when i get 2 of them witch shouldn't be to hard.
well i'm thinking about dropping a alexander luther for a 3rd connie web also so i can hit ahmed easyer.
EDIT: I also want to fit maybe 3 or 4 Knightmare Scenario in here but i can't really find room for it. I was sorta thinking about dropping one set of the Fate artifact stuff for 3 of them and maybe the Satellite HQ for a 4th but i sorta think that only 1 full set of them isn't enough. I'd love helpp wtih this.
Hmm interesting i geuss it would help out a lot to, i have been having a problem with not being able to team up to easy until turn 4 or 5 because i keep bouncing back my charecters.
The only problem with that is i have to keep a plot twist hanging around........
you dont 'have to" have all resouces locations. you can replace with ahmed anytime.
the 5 drop thalia has an insane combo with sarge steel. a charecter attacks thalia, you use slaughter swamp discard sarge steel, put him in front of thalia, then watch as you opponet weeps. this can also be done with science spire.
- 1 satilite HQ
- 1 dr. fates tower
- 1 elimination protocol
- 2 lex luthor, 1 drop
- 3 thalia, 2 drop
- 1 floronic man, 5 drop
+ 2 connie webb
+ 3 sarge steel
+ 1 thalia, 5 drop
+ 1 bazzaro
+ 1 science spire
+ 1 mr. mylplkxz
hope this helps
I'll have to test play some more. I think that only 1 of the 5 drop talias is enough in here because i have had the chance to useher effect but the only problem was that the character i had gotten rid of was a 2 drop talia so i think i will drop the 2 drop ones and max out on the sarges.
I like the whole idea with 2 science spires and i have test played it but it didn't make much difference cause i only use one science spire in a game and thats maybe 2 times a game.
I do think i will max out on connie webs cause like i said before i have been having a bit of a problem hitting ahmed sometimes if i didn't draw him or hit a satellite.
I'm assuming that this PCQ is taking place after PC Indy? If not, you would be better served playing a Silver Age version of this deck, as you are unnecessarily handicapping yourself by only playing DC Modern cards.
Since my main man Skittles chimed in, I'll toss in my $0.02 as well.
1-3 drops: The primary goal of your first three turns is to get Ahmed Samsarra in play. That being said, you are unnecessarily handicapping yourself by playing Alexander Luthor. He is an amazing card, but does NOTHING to get Ahmed into play for you. The basic premise that you need to keep in mind is that if you miss Ahmed, you probably lose. THus, you want four copies of Connie Webb. If you want to play another 1-drop, then Jamie Reyes isn't a bad choice (searching out that equipment). At two, I only think Talia was good in the Silver Age version of Deep Green to facilitate the Leage Of Assassins team-up so that you could search out Merlyn. Since Merlyn isn't available for the Modern Age, and Talia's effect is rarely relevant, four copies of Dr. Psycho is the way to go. He has an effect the just crushes off-curve decks, and he can attack up the curve with little effort. Finally, you probably won't ever play a game where you don't want Ahmed on three, so playing a backup drop on three isn't necessary... drop Dr. Polaris.
4-7 drops: I'm kind of split at four. Bizarro is amazing, but Fatality can be very nice for keeping many decks under control. Elimination Protocol isn't a bad backup at four if you miss a Villains United character (not to mention allowing some hand advantage with Brother Eye). However, I don't think that Deathstroke will ever be a preferred play. At five, all of your choices are fine - Floronic Man is nice tech for the mirror. However, playing four characters at five may be too many. At six, if you aren't dropping Huntress, you might as well play a character that has some synergy with the Fate Artifacts - Dr. Fate. Besides, Alexander and Zoom aren't really very strong drops at six. Of course, Deathstroke is obviously nuts at seven.
Plot Twists: I've been testing a bit with Baddest Of The Bad, and I must say that it's better than I thought it would be. That being said, you rarely want to play it before turn four. It has some neat synergy with Talia, Daughter Of Madness; resulting in what is effectively a free search. You absolutely want to play four copies of Knightmare Scenario, as it is a card that wins games (see my feature match with Chuck Bell from PCSF). You may or may not want to play four copies of Threat Neutralized... it all depends on how many copies of The Science Spire/Baddest Of The Bad you are playing and your appetite for risk (i.e. risk that Ahmed will become KO'd!)
Equipment: I would go with either Knight Armor or the Fate Artifacts, but not both. In DC Modern, the Fate Artifacts are probably the stronger play. I've found 2 copies of each to be sufficient. Also, if you play the Artifacts, you might consider playing a copy or two of Fate Has Spoken. Getting to swing twice with a 15/11 Bizarro is never a bad thing.
Locations: Brother I Satellite and Checkmate Safe House are both "4-ofs". Personally, I play two copies each of Brother Eye, Dr. Fate's Tower, Slaughter Swamp, and The Science Spire. I don't think that Leslie Thompkins' Clinic and Secret Checkmate HQ are necessary. Satellite HQ might be good, but I haven't tested it enough to say for sure.
Just for reference, here's my most recent DC Modern build of the deck:

There's some obvious room for improvement here, but it's a good starting point. Hopefully it will help you with your deckbuilding.
I like the idea of the fate artifacts and all but it sorta seems to me that there not all there cracked up to be.
I mean once your done getting you set onto a charecter and you have it set up the way you want it to be it just seems like the other stuff you have in there don't do to much anymore, they sorta seem useless.
me my self i sorta think that knight armor is better but the only problem is there isn't the search like the artifacts have or the sapport they have so i'm sorta torn between the to.
Oh yeah alright now i know who your are. Thanks For helpping me out here. This is Tim Rowe just so you knwo you were talking to.
