Under the new rules does pulse wave now ignore stealth to the point where you can draw line of fire to them when they are in a bush (or gaining the benifits of stealth in general) and am I right in thinking that defense powers wouldn't reduce the damage that pulse wave now deals? Also I heard that a character able to make two range attacks that has pulse wave can now pulse twice. Is that true too? Just a bit confused.

No, this is not true. By "two range attacks" I'm assuming you mean they have two (or more) lightning bolts on their base. That's "the number of different targets your character can target with a single ranged combat action". So you can make one action (such as Incapacitate) hit multiple targets. It doesn't allow you to make more than one attack - remember you're only rolling the dice once - and it doesn't allow you to target the same figure twice.
PW automatically targets everyone the first time around, so the number of bolts has no extra effect on a pulse wave.

PW does not target any figs at all. This is an important distinction because you cannot target your own figs. The actual reason that PW cannot be used with multi-target attacks is because PW does not target any figs at all. How can you target multiple figs with an attack that does not have a target?

Yeah, "target" probably wasn't the best word to use there. I was more interested in getting the main point across, that PW already hits everyone with a single attack, and the bolts are just a way to hit more people with a single attack. Thanks for the save.
Many novice players think the bolts allow multiple attacks (with separate rolls), and that was the mistake I was looking to correct.
Well let's add something: If Human Torch hits his Nova Flame click, and there is only one character in range of a Pulse Wave action can't he allocate all damage to him? I've always been touchy on the damage split. It seems as if it would be akin to giving he or Kang Psychic Blast. Wot say thee?
Luke B. Surfin' (Pulse WAVE.....get it.....Lordy I'm a riot)

"If clear lines of fire can be drawn to two or more characters, this character's damage value becomes 1 for this attack; otherwise, use this character's normal damage value."
Yep, that nova click is full strength if there's only one figure around. I could have really used that this past weekend, but my V Doom was also in range so it would only have done 1 (and hit my own figure, too).
Sufer's Pulse Wave click is sooo nice. In one game the other guy chased my torch with his Bron on his first click. I pulsed Waved him and only him and rolled double Fives. Four clicks + Knockback into the wall for a total of FIVE. Good I love it.
Another quickie question, Pulse Wave and running shot is still a viable technique, right?
Ok, rookie question: If a character with Toughness (or some other damage reducing power) is knocked back into a wall or off a ledge by PW, does their Toughness come back in time to help them soak the Knockback damage?
"The Mysterious Box" of the Mighty Power Cosmic Clan!
The PW attack itself is what ignores damage reducing powers. PW does not cancel any powwers.
That said, there is not a true black and white answer. However, knockback, and damage resulting from knockback, is treated seperately from the attack that caused the knockback. That is why damage reducing powers affect knockback damage and the attack that caused the knockback.
Due to that ruling, I say that Toughness would be in effect for the damage caused by the knockback.
However, I would like to hear other opinions on the matter....
