title says it pretty clearly. what is your favorite card? why? is it the amazing artwork? how it relates to the comic mythos? the effect? what about this particular card makes you drool with a passion at the mere thought of it?
Mine has definately got to be batman TDK. I've always been a hardcore bat-fan, ever since I picked up the Frank Miller batman series I fell in love with ol' batsy. when I first started playing the game I found the old batman starter with him in it. I fell in love with the beautiful art of this card, and then found his effect to be even more fitting. right away I looked up any deck that used him and found a version of fat-bat that used TTG! as a drawing engine. I took the build and added chnages where I saw fit. it was the first deck I created on my own. I took it to m local hobby store and played a few rounds to get the hang of it. it was a powerful deck during DSM and MSM. I will never forget when I stomped my friends BBH deck on turn seven when he said "I play magneto. looks like you won't be getting a recovery phase." I smile and say "I won't need it" as I stare gleefully at my 3 TTGS amd 2 press the attacks in my redource row. my board consisted of dawn granger, 2 hawks, 3 GCPD officers, and a dick grayson. I had 6 cards in hand and it was my init. whiped out his mags, sabre tooth 6, and quick silver, and attacked directly with a massive 26/26 bats. my opponents jaw is still dropping.
Because he's been a huge souce of personal success, he's not heavily played, and he's an interesting character (for one thing, he's one of the few gay DCU characters).
Plus he's legacy, which always makes a character cooler.
i have to say Mojo. i like the character from the X-Men cartoon, and its fun to spam out unaffiliated and have Mojo swing for rediculous amounts.
i cant wait for a playable Mr. Sinister. he is one of my favorite characters from the Marvel Mythos. the art work on the one from MHG made me cry a little its so bad. also, he needs to be on Apocolypes team. and Apoc needs a team too.
and i'm betting your side on the Stu/Longshot thing.
Team-up Underworld, Arkham, Manhunters and Secret Six and/or Secret Society as well.
Turn 5 have out Deadshot [SS/S6], Suicide, Manhunter Giant ... possibly another 3 or a 4, and some ones.
Deadshot exhausts to Fall of Oa. Then gets KO'd to Manhunter Giant. Then Suicide exhausts to bring back Deadshot. Deadshot exhausts to Fall of Oa again and gets KO'd against to Manhunter Giant. Then Suicide can get KO'd to Manhunter Giant, discarding two Underworld character cards to return him to play. He can then exhaust to Deadshot all over again. This can loop a few more times [with Manhunter Giant and the other 3/4 bringing back Deadshot as well]. With enough cards, and some milling in earlier turns with Fall and/or Lana Lang, and/or Funky's Big Rat Code and/or Manhunter Clones, etc ... it's possible to hit Fall of Oa to deck the opponent out on turn 5, easily on 6.
And, you'll often be able to do some fun stuff at that point:
Terraform out a copy of Planet Weapon to have your opponent's lose some resources.
If you've been able to hit a District X [thanks to Poison Ivy] you can call physical and use all those characters in your hand to Immovable.
Then you can use Strength of the Grave to put those characters back for another big defense bump. You can then exhaust a character and redraw your deck at will with Fall of Oa ;)
Unfortunately, Fiddler is banned preventing a Nenora + Intergalatic Summit + many Fiddlers to hit a Nega Bomb.
If stalling to Emperor Joker isn't your thing ... you can just as easily go for the win with either Mark Shaw or Skinner, putting your massive hand to use [along with the Strength of the Graves of course].
Without a doubt, my favorite card is Prankster, Oswald Loomis. In every card game I've played I've always managed to find one card that was, more than anything, irritating to my friends. Prankster, I've found, can be extremely annoying. Especially when used in multiples. (Many thanks to Mockingbird and Changeling) It's not particularly competitive, but the grimmace on my friends' faces is worth it every time.
I like him so much I've began to pick up people's spares at events and stores. I think I have close to 65 copies.
Im gonna say Thor God of THunder. He is one of my favorite comic characters plus the artwork is superb. Now if they would just make one that was playable outside of a kitchen table game I would be estatic.
My all time favorite card is Detective Chimp, Bobo. He allowed so many amazing ideas to become realities. He made everyone work together and accomplish one goal. He essentially allowed you to play any card in your deck.
If I had a lesbian unicorn I would trade it to UDE in exchange for Detective Chimp being removed from the ban list.
Seems like so far everyone has chosen characters. But thread is what is your favorite CARD,correct?
Well from the time I first started playing I always loved Lost City. I have used almost every team in some way teamed with Brotherhood to abuse Lost City as much as I could. When NTH Metal came out it gave me more ways to abuse it. Favorite team up with Brotherhood seems to be Gotham Knights with Fizzle and the drawing effects and of course all the various Batmans to chose from.
I like pretty much all The Joker cards. I guess its the reason I play the game. The reason I play my deck. The Joker- The Clown Prince of Crime. Shows the character. Not a bad effect. Even though he's got pansy atk/def The Joker- Permament Vacation: Okay...so...I like the picture. And The Joker- Headline Stealer. Good card. He should so have range or something -_- He could like, throw bombs and stuff.
Hmmmm this is a hard question. I really love the art work on Ice Man's cards and Gambit has always been my favorite comic character, but as for playability favorite wise I would have to go with Surprise Attack, I know I'm probably stupid for doing it but I try and include it in every deck I make (Golden Age of course), it is just such a fun card to play first turn.
My current favorite would have to be Spiderman, The Amazing Spider-man. Spider-man is one of my favorite comic characters and this 7-drop has an awesome ability that typically means game if I make it to turn 7.
Although I might have a new favorite in the form of Wally West<>The Flash, The Fastest Man Alive.
