I bought 3 and 12 Batman/Joker starters for $50.

Now I'll try to convince my converts and my sceptical friends into playing a MK draft for $5 a player with the starters given to everyone who plays.

I think he probably means backdrafting rares? Anyways major respect for pulling an event like this to get people started. It's cheap so I'm sure you'll get a big turn out, let us hear how it went. I wish I could spare money to run something like this at my store. Rep point for you!

Well, when I do my drafts we yank all the rares out at the end of the tourney. Person with the best score picks the first rare to keep, then so on and so on until all the rares are gone. You keep all commons and uncommons you draft.

For this draft since it is so cheap and people get a starter to take home with them it seems more loose so I'll suggest the "keep everything you draft" version unless people want the competitiveness aspect.

we do the same thing at my store but it is whenever any of the teamates get a new box we sealed or draft (depending how many of us there are) with it before they open it. It seems to work well and we all have a lot of fun.

Thats what I do with my fiance but she steals all my Teen Tiitans cards anyhow :)

It's tough. Stores are going to want to make money (so they stay in business!) so you'll have to show them a benefit of hosting an event for you.

I'm happy to break even and get my friends interested so we can play more.

The store owner will get players playing the game that will buy the rare singles that he should do well on if he can buy the boxes this cheap and sell the rares for like a buck or 2 exsept for the good ones he can sell for a good price like wild rides

So look he buys a box of Marvel Knights and say he gets one Wild Ride he sell each rare for a dollor fifty each except for the wild ride wich he sells at 15 wich is less than ebay then he makes his money and people start playing the game and buying new product from him

We are also trying to launch a hobby league and now it looks like a city championship as well
