Alright, so even though I'm a huge Spider-Man fan and try to stay current I apparently missed this. Someone mentioned something about there being some Uncle Ben from an alternate universe now alive in the regular Marvel U (or something to that effect). Anyone wanna give me the scoop on how that occurred?

I forgot how it happened, but there was an Uncle Ben in the world where Peter Parker/Spider-Man ended up becoming a celebrity instead. Peter Parker ended up being a super jerk, and Ben finds himself in the regular 686 (is it 686 or 616?) universe. Doesn't matter much anyway, we find out in the newest issue of Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man that he got killed by Sandman's pop.

Well at least Marvel had the decency to not let this go on longer than it needed to. Thanks for the info.

Ok well ya see....in the future (2211 to be specific) the current Spiderman is a scientist and temperal police officer in the guise of Spiderman. His daughter goes crazy after being stuck in a temporal prison for something she was going to do in the future. She escapes her prison and, in an attempt to kill her father, kills her boyfriend instead. This really hits her buttons, so she adopts the persona of the Hobgoblin and begins traveling through different time lines and realities killing spidermen. Of course she's not just interested in killing them, but putting them through the worst experience their lives allow, and then killing them.

For our spiderman she brought an Uncle Ben from another reality and lets him roam around New York bumping into people and freaking peter and aunt may out. Eventually spiderman and spiderman 2211 shut down hobgoblin 2211, but they forget about the new Uncle Ben and he wonders around for a while generally feeling sorry for himself. When Spiderman 2211 eventually finds him, Uncle Ben shoots him, hoping to stay in our reality. That didn't really work out cause he gets shot by Sandman's old man. Hilarity is sure to ensue
