I've noted often in the past that I really like the smell of a fresh pack of cards. Dunno if it was the paper, ink, or packaging, but there was a definite aroma inside that I liked in a weird way, like how most people like the smell of gasoline.

Well, I just opened two boxes of MTU, and I noticed two things:

1) The subtle, pleasant smell is a hell of a lot stronger this time, to the point of being unpleasant. I wouldn't say the cards "reek" of chemicals, but there's a definite pungeant aroma.

2) I have a huge headache now.

I'm pretty sure (2) was caused by the same thing as (1). Anybody else get a headache after opening packs? Or am I just weird?

try (after your headache goes away) opening 2 packs near the same time from MTU and a different set.

Meh...the only "headaches" I got were from opening nothing but Dual Affiliated 5-drops with zero early turn support in Sealed...
