suppose i have 4 drop A in my hand with sub . i also have two 4 drops in play B and C. since subbing is a payment power that i can do multiple times i reveal A twice. the first reveal resolves and ready B is removed from the game. i get priority to add effects again before the second sub effect resolves so i add devil's due KO'ing A and activating Soul World to bring A back to my hand. does the second sub thats waiting on the chain now resolve? What does it do?
Note: I KNOW THAT YOU CAN SIMPLY REVEAL A AGAIN. I AM ASKING THIS TO SEE IF IT WILL WORK!
I included links in the earlier post so that you could read the rules quotations quickly if you wanted to, but also wouldn't be forced to read them. 706.16a is quoted at various points in each of the linked threads, including in the first post of the second one, though it's there mis-labelled as 100.1a.
oops oops...didnt realize that was a link...sorry that explains it perfect thanks...so what about scarlet spider or mephisto? do the cards revealed go into play or stay in the hand?

they NEVER go into play with thier reveal effects, but the cards will sit on the chain untill the reveal effects resolve, at which point the cards return to hand.
Actually, they wouldn't go on the chain---Terraform and Substitute cards only do so because those powers have special entries coming from 708.9d. Since that entry only deals with effects that put revealed cards into play, it doesn't apply to someone like Scarlet Spider.
Scarlet Spider keeps himself revealed until you're finished playing the effect, but returns to being unrevealed once you're done. And the card you reveal for Mephisto only ever needs to be revealed as you pay the cost, since it's not the source of Mephisto's effect.
In a complicated way, it's a rule that has to exist for Substitute and Terraform, even though players rarely expect to find it in the CRD. If the cards returned to hand after being revealed, the game would be flummoxed as to which card it was supposed to put into play---the danger of non-public zones is that sometimes you really wish the game could see into them. ;)
