Do you think UDE will advertise at ComicCon 07. G4TV is doing live coverage of the event. Im sure that if there was a VS presence there, it would be all positive.

It would be great to see it, But I highly doubt it will happen. Why advertise at an event that draws from your largest pool of potential customers?

As always, if players are that concerned that UDE won't do it, nothing is stopping us from doing it ourselves, you know?

There will be at least 6 of us from the bay area going down to get our geeks on, and we'll have decks in tow.

If this first VS system 1k event is a success, I'll totally support a second one for Comic-con in LA in July or something very similar.

If they don't advertise, perhaps it is because they are waiting until the Legend sets [that would be the most 'new player friendly' sets since Origins] before they go with a concentrated effort. Working smarter, instead of harder ...

i hope this is the case. It would only make good sense to do a proper Ad campaign if you can ensure a strong entry point for the newly interested players.

Anyway... I really want to see ads/ pull for new players...i got friends that are interested or have left the game, and they cant pocket the expense to come back....

im hoping that the legend sets allow them a way to get back.

I've been to Comic-Con the past three years and UDE has always been there. They never run any events, which I find a bit odd, but they're usually demoing the game, answering questions, and showing at least the boxes of the upcoming expansions. They did have artists signing UDeck Sleeves last year.

Didn't they have a10K not last year but the 2 years befor then! I believe last year was the first year of no vs events since vs came out! The first one was my first vs event ever!

No no, it's OUR job to advertise.

Do you mean run commercials on G4? Probably not. But in past years UDE has had all sorts of VS System banners displayed, and I remember one year they had that big Batman statue. They also have the UDE logo all over the things people wear their badges on, so that may attract some people to the booth.

Now I do think they could stand to do some more things, like maybe a promo card or two in the bags people get.

The Maid is right - a 10k 2 years ago, but no events last year. They did have a large booth, signings, giveaways, demos and a store to purchase stuff. There were little UDE back-packs they gave out one day. They were also handing out mini-packs from the X-men starter cards to anyone passing by.

Pretty good presence....although their staff was really #####y. :confused:
