I know many retailers have stated that Wow sales have been declining as of late, so UDE introduced the Wow Incentive program wherein if a customer purchases $10 of product, they get a free "exclusive" promo card. I think this is a great idea to help retailers sell more of the product sitting on the shelves. So why is this not being offered for VS? Are Vs sales that much better than Wow, that it's not needed?
Will people PLEASE stop comparing VS to WoW, they are a completely different animal.
In how many threads over the past couple of months have had a reference to WoW? This is a forum for VS. Not WoW. And NOT for questions for UDE. And not for UDE hate, if it weren't for them we wouldnt even be playing the game.
Sure, while sometimes they make decisions that people don't agree with. But they are a business, they will do what is economically right for there different areas. Whether it be WoW or VS.
lordoflimbo, I'm sorry to say it but in this case I think you're wrong.
UDE brought this up on themselves when they made wow in the first place.
They knew vs would take a HUGE blow because of what wow ccg would be, and they made it anyways.
they deserve our hate for that game.
That hate is different from hate for ude, which I hope none of us have.

They don't deserve anything.
All they could do is create the game, provide no support,no OP just like board game. We should just be grateful for them for creating the game and provind OP in the beginning.
If anything, should you be blaming the WoW players, for switching the revenue to WoW rather than VS. To be honest, if UDE created a new game, then why wouldn't they focus amost of their energy on it rather than an older game.
So WHAT if theynew it would take a blow?
From a business prospective they did the right thing to maximise profits for themsleves. Like I said, I may not like what they did and what they are doing. But we just have to accept it and move on. We can sit here and moan all we like, but it wont do a thing. OR we can try and be part of the solution and help to support VS with or without UDE's help.
Limbo, I agree with Soda (on the WOW comparisons - not the UDE hate), but not for the same reasons.
UDE is a company. They need to make money. Not exploring an opportunity with one game just to help the other is not a smart business decision. Growth is a lot more limited if you keep all your eggs in one basket. (Yes, I know they already have other baskets, but you get what I mean).
As far as not comparing to WOW - well, that'd be like having a San Francisco Giants forum that doesn't reference the Dodgers. Its gonna happen.
Back to the topic at hand, I think it'd be great to get promos like the one they're using with WOW. I have ZERO knowledge as to what the deal is with WOW sales, but I've imagined since Day 1 that the WOW sales would drop after the mass initial interest from the non-CCGers faded (you know, the guys that play the online game, but found out about the cards and tried it out for a while, only to realize that they have to wear pants while playing face-to-face, so they went back to the online game exclusively).
Perhaps this is UDE's way of trying to lure them back?

Gee thanks, M. Now I have to clean all this soda off my keyboard. :classic:
Off-topic, but I would love to see some "order numbers" (volume-wise) from the UDE points store... How much of that WoW stuff is moving compared to the Vs. stuff.
We know the AoA cards are the hotness around here... every active player I know has blown through a load of points over the past couple of weeks. I wonder if the WoW stuff is getting the same kind of love.

It wasn't the no pants that was so bad... it was the no shower.
