I know a lot of the over seas players. Well I've talked to them over the internet at least and they are a great bunch of guys. There Concerns about the Worlds is understandable.
Are they going to get Mega Weekends if so will they even be able to attend Worlds tournament. As I was working last night I thought of some thing, Yes I think from time to time believe it or not and yes the wood was burning away all last night. :)
So to the question at hand. I was thinking that in addition to Cash prizes If they do that for Mega Weekends. They give the over seas guys an all expense payed trip to the Worlds that would be a great incentive for people to place in the top 2. I know UDE did this before.
I would like to see what you guys think the prizes should be and if giving over seas the chance to have a trip to come to Worlds is a good idea. So please let discuss this till UDE lets us know what we are getting and you never know they may take some of your suggestions and add them to the Mega Weekend.
I sincerely hope that the mega weekends have a similar prize system to the master challenge, top 2 get all expenses paid worlds trip, and loads of swag given out.
That was cooooool.
EDIT: How to find an Aces thread, look to see what the symbols are, if they are "cool" ones, they are aces. If they are different to normal but not circles with sunglasses then they are most likely access's threads.
Doesn't look like there will be a Nationals from what the article says. You only need 10 PC points to qualify for Worlds. Why would there be a Nationals if Worlds is so easy to qualify for.

My thinking too I would love for them to make it possible for over seas players to come to Worlds after qualifying for it.
If they do international Mega Weekends, those will likely be "nationals" for those places, unless they get lucky enough to get a few over the course of the year.
For the US though, it would basically be a "super-ultra-mega-weekend" or a "one step below Worlds Championship" basically. Maybe if things go well in 2008, 2009 can expand it a bit more to have Nationals [which would basically be, in North America, a 2 "PC/WC" system, with foreign markets getting their own "mini-PC/WC". If they do it like WoW and give the winners free trips to the WC it would be cool.
The Raw Deal prize support system is pretty inexpensive, as it was the first game the company produced, and it is hardly a huge money maker. In addition to exclusive prize cards, they have their World Qualifier events, which have as prizes, flights and hotel accomodation to the World Qualifier, with the added prize of tickets to Wrestlemania. While it's a bit of an expense, they can ussually cover at least the cost of the flight with the entry fee for the qualifier. On a related note, one of the ways they've been able to cover costs for recent qualifiers in areas like Australia, and even Canada, have been "regional" qualifiers, where they hold a series of feeder events, and the finalists of each event square off, to determine who wins. This allows for more areas to participate, and with a series of LCQ's the same weekend as the finals, it also allows the same people to participate multiple times.
I'm not sure how much they have in the budget, but if the Mega Weekends in foreign markets were to give out amongst the top prizes flight/accomodation for the World Championship, that would be pretty cool ... within North America it would be cheaper to give out that prize, although also less necessary.
I would love to see these as a 3-4 different Tournament setting all having some kind of cash for the top 10 of all 4 tournament.
1.Bring your own set tournament ( to bring back all the old school players)
2.Silver age ( for the more competitive players)
3.Modern Age ( for the newer players)
4.Draft ( Cause every one loves to draft:) )
Cash Bracket for all the tournaments
1.$1,000.00
2.$500.00
3.$500.00
4.$300.00
5.$300.00
6.$200.00
7.$200.00
8.$100.00
9.$100.00
