he did not steal anything, but before we started to trade he said that i should send first , as many of you know i have no problems doing so, but the trade became huge getting into the hundreds of dollars worth of cards including almost an entire playset of mex cards, so i requested that we use a third person to do the trade, i even offered to pay for shipping on all parts and to compensate the mod on both parts, and then he backs out because he expected me to send first, to be honest as we all know anyone who wont do a mode trade is planning to rip you off

The only reason i started talking to Darth was that he said he would trade first. Next thing I know hes saying send to someone in Canada. I said that he said he would send first and if this is somethign he didnt want to do then I didnt want to trade

In short, I asked him to do what he said he would do and now hes posting this @#$%. Oh well.......

Also, hes 20+ pages of bad refrecnces compared to my 100% positives.....

in my post i acknowledged that i agreed to send first , but you make my point by posting what you did, i like everyone else do not intend on sending out 100-300 bucks worth of stuff without some kind of assurance that i am not getting ripped, and for the record you only have a grand total of 2 refs, that does not in no way make you the poster child of good traders, i know i have neg refs and alot are from situations like this , most ppl have to understand i do more trades than anyone else on here, including every ripper on here so yea i am gong to get bad refs, but no one wants to count all the good ones, oh well ppl can be the judge and maybe they will think twice before they send anything to you

If someone is unwilling to trade with escrow it could mean a number of things...they may just be a tad 'gun-shy' about sending out to someone they don't have any association with (besides the obvious that they could potentially be a ripper).

A couple of points:
1. In an escrow trade, both sides should send at the same time...otherwise, the individual doing the escrow ends up holding on to cards for days to a week until the second set of cards show up.

2. The person doing escrow can't send either side out until they know that both sides have sent, everyting is present and in good condition. (Otherwise, what is the use in having someone escrow?)

3. Nobody has 'pages' of neg refs. Most of Maul's negs come from the same two or three people, which shows that he may have had issues with that same person or persons, BUT, he has PAGES of positive refs.

Having only 2 refs from the same person from YEARS ago is not worthy of bragging about being 100%. If anything, it is a situation that would make me suspicious. This is likely why Maul asked for escrow.


Guys, is this something you really can't work out? If the trade you guys were going to make is really worth making, then try to work it out, and I would volunteer to do escrow for you. I have 18 original refs, and over 20 total refs. I have access to inexpensive options for shipping with tracking with insurance, and I have dealth with Maul in the past.

(At one point, I was one of Maul's biggest detractors. Then I met him at Mega Weekend LA. We made a trade there and then another for me to get the Doom Mat. He has been honorable in our dealings, but that is something that is tough to know until such a time as you make a trade with someone.)

I do not fault Cheezewhiz for being cautious...but lets see if you guys can work something out. If not, then at least we tried, which is better than two people sitting back being upset about an perceived snub that doesn't exist. Its a trade...which is business, and not personal. If everyone gets the cards they want, everyone will be happy.

(And why would I offer to help? Because its a nice thing to do...and if I had the same issue, I would hope that I had someone who was willing to help me out...)

i hate to admit it baldman but you are a wise one indeed, i have since talked to cheezwiz and it seems it was more miscommunication on my part as well as his, we are working on it and i think we are going to make some kind of deal, i am going to have to suck it up and say I am sorry and close this thread........
