1) Bring Your Own Modern: You pick one set that's modern legal-- MVL, DCL, MTU, or DWF-- and build your deck out of that one set. DCX and MEX are not attached to any set for the purpose of those, and so are not legal inclusions.

The April kits have been scheduled to ship late:
Approximate Ship Date: 4/16/08
Aprroximate Arrival Date: 4/23/08
(this is moved up a week from the original solicit)
... Not impressed with that. We have to convince people to come and play for three weeks with no visible prize support. That's a bit rough.
Based on that, do we have a ship date on May's kit? Can we expect it at the normal time, thus allowing us to "backdate" prizes from the April kit to those who've won throughout the month? Or will we just have to endure a three week "no prize zone" and hope it doesn't cost us too many participants?
The Marquee after BYOS Modern is Random Punks Silver.
Those will cover April and May (although somewhat late due to production issues... I mean you guys did want mats and t-shirts right?).
The next one is the Release Celebration for Marvel Universe in June.
I will take a guess here and say that probably MUN will not be legal for Constructed events at Worlds. The release date of June 10 does not give sufficient time for non-NorthAm players to get product in time to test MUN cards. But I could be wrong. Given that, I have a feeling we will be seeing many MUN Limited events at Worlds... maybe even an MUN draft as part of the Worlds competition.
This also bodes well for some type of Mega Constructed tournament at GenCon Indy where MUN will be legal in Silver/Modern formats. But that I'm not too sure on.
Whatever the case may be... preorder and buy as much Marvel Universe as you can.
My understanding from the announcement was that you could use any 4 sets for the BYOS modern, that your deck just had to consist of cards from 4 sets, whether they were connected or not I don't have the link to the thread that announced it but i'm pretty sure that was what it said, at least that was my understanding of it

That ain't the case, kid. Sorry. (it would have been kinda cool though - just to mix things up!).
That means that all cards in your deck have to be from the same set (ie share the same 1st 3 letters in their card number). The only exceptions are cards that were reprinted in whichever set you are using can be from the other set it was printed in (such as using a DLS Mobilize in your MVL deck).
