...what if we got so many cool cards beacuse UDE is canceling VS and the awesome guys working on our cards wanted to get us one last hurrah set before they pulled the plug...?
If that was the case, how much of MUN would you buy then: The same as you would ahve otherwise, more, less?
I have already thought of that. If it is the last set, then I have a case of the best. First time I've ever bought a case. I would still have bought it, even if I knew it was the last set.
With that said, I'm not sure how they could stop printing it, if it sells out every time.
I don't actually think it, but the paranoid part of my brain asked me that question of "what if the reason the cards are all so good and so many legacy effects is actually because they know that VS won't make it to the set announced for the end of the year?"
I'd love to see VS last out that whole 10 years, no doubt!
I'm hating not being able to buy a case. But if I knew this was the very last set, I'd likely push a little harder to obtain more than what I'm telling myself now will be enough. I wondered what others were thinking about all fo this.
I mean, Marvel got SWEET promos for the Hobby League stuff. DC only got Legacy effects which almost implies that they knew DC was going out and decided to throw DC fans a bone by supporting teams that simply won't get a chance to get any more support ever. Now we have AMAZING things that will be nearly ipossible to top filling an entire set! And fan favorites abound! Which I love dearly!! But, if these wonders are ours as a parting gift from our friends at VS R&D, then I have to ponder how it will impact the game.
Will players continue to play and will Golden Age become the standard with a better banned list? Will players abandon ship and watch VS circle the drain?
Will players buy up every freaking legacy support card they can get their grubby li'l fingers on?

Well, we don't know for sure, right? My previous post just follows that paranoia thinking is all. Nothing concrete, nor do I mean for it to come off as being from the horses mouth, so to speak.
The next set is Marvel evolution... so... for the moment no DCU.

Every time a new set comes out there is the "this is so abusable and/or broken" game... is simple a perception problem.
The older (pre-mvl,dcl) set have plenty of legacy cards, MUN is basically two sets in one... so double legacy cards.
The fan favourite thing only follow the new trend... you know, more reconizable character, focus on the legeds... It seems just natural they also stamp some long waited character.
Anyway... I understand you... when things go better the "Sky will fall down eventually" syndrome is the standard... :P
