Contrary to popular belief, I do know what I'm doing
Fair Warning: This article may contain spoilers about the subject it reviews.
Saints Row IV is the final numbered game in the Saints Row series. (It was followed up by Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, but that was more of an offshoot). In the story, The Boss has become President of the United States after stopping a Nick Fury-esque terrorist's plot to destroy the United States. An alien overlord named Zinyak has come to take over the world, and locks the Boss and a few of his "homies" into a computer simulation after destroying Earth.
I skipped ahead to the fourth game mostly due to it being more super heroic/sci fi than previous games, which would allow it to fit into HeroClix a little better. It also allowed for a WILD variety of characters to include.
What would the set look like? Maybe something like this ... Common
1a Boss Male
1b Boss Female
2 Zin Trooper
3 Dominatrix Minion
4 Gingerbread Man
5 Giant Elf
6 Velociraptor
7 STAG Trooper
8 Pierce
9 Shaundi
Uncommon
10 Xor
11 Toy Soldier
12 Kinzie
13 Fun Shaundi
14 Twinkle
15 Velociraptor Ned
16 Matt Miller
17 Asha Odekar
18 Zin Murderbot
19 Santa
Super Rare
28 Clawz
29 Dominatrix
30 Cirano
31 Jane Austen
32 Cyrus Temple
33 Boss (Mech Armor)
Chase
34 GOOH Gat
35 GOOH Kinzie
Potential powers and Traits:
All the standard powers could make an appearance in one way or the other. The key would be how to hand them out. All of the Saints are able to use super powers: TK, Hypersonic Speed, Energy Projection and a super Leap/Climb. I'd go with either a token system to earn abilities via a trait, or just decide who gets what for balance.
The game is also known for crazy weapons like the Dubstep Gun, Black Hole Gun and the 'Merica. Could make for some wild Equipment options.
Keywords:
On the Named side of things, Saints or 3rd St Saints is a must. North Pole for Santa and Mrs. Claus. Maybe even Clawz, Twinkle, the Giant Elves (which are human sized, but big for regular elves), Gingerbread Man and Toy Soldier. Zinyak and his Troopers, Marauders, Murderbots and Wardens would all have Zin Empire.
Character Spotlight
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Boss
Going with an A/B version here for a Male and Female. Same dials as there's no difference in gameplay except in conversations. Leadership for being the President of the United States. We'll also have a Trait to allow them to be replaced by the SR Boss in the Mech Armor. Bonuses for piloting a Vehicle.
Shaundi/Fun Shaundi/Future Shaundi
Throughout the game, you encounter multiple versions of Shaundi. The present Shaundi is head of the Secret Service, so she'll be able to generate Bystanders to protect the President/Boss. Fun Shaundi comes up during a mission. She's actually a past version of herself that she's not too fond of. Would largely be a support figure, possibly even a hostage trait like the FF April O'Neil, due to her penchant for being taken hostage. Future Shaundi comes from the DLC "How the Saints Saved Christmas". She comes from the future, Terminator-style, to help the Saints rescue Santa and the North Pole from the evil "Clawz". Very dystopian. Missing Arm and eye. Very aggressive. She also won't swear in front of Santa, even though he said that "Naughty words are not naughty deads".
Jane Austen
During the game, it's revealed that Zinyak has been taking humans hostage for years. Among them is Jane Austen, whom the Boss is a huge fan of. It's revealed she is the Narrator of the game. Support figure, close to a mix of Blind Al and the Holo-Grandmaster from Thor: Ragnarok. Perplex and maybe Support because why not.
Why would Wizkids even attempt this?
Fun figures and abilities, a lot of "What the..." ideas. Who wouldn't want to have Santa Clause Jane Austen team up? A set of "Deep Dives" with multiple costume/outfits for the boss could open up a lot of customization options to allow players to make their boss their own.
But likely? Would never happen! But it's fun to wish! And with that, we'll wrap it up! See you in two weeks for another Bringing Indy Back!

My Christmas tradition every year is to play through the "Saints Save Christmas" DLC. SO many easter eggs!!! Ranging from Die Hard, to Star Wars, a Tardis, Back to the Future... i love it!
And yes. Kinzie is the best. My niece is named Kinsley, and on more than one occasion have called her Kinzie hahaha

Bonus points if you can work a fight in between WWE Rowdy Roddy Piper and Keith David, which is not only a Saint's Row IV reference!
... I absolutely adore that game.
Oh, they were HIGHLY considered for the list... but I wasn't sure how they'd be handled license wise. Though I have a feeling Keith David would probably sign off on it SOOOOO easily. Roddy's estate probably would too

I'm in the middle of replaying the entire series right now from the beginning. It is a blast and I would welcome getting them clixed.
You know, i never actually played the first... came into the second kind of later in it's run, almost just before 3 came out. So 3, 4 and Gat Out of Hell were my main games. And then of course Agents of Mayhem (which may or may not end up being a BIB article in the future)
I actually bought the deluxe version of 4 that came with the Dubstep Gun, a Gat Statue, and a Doomsday Button..
