Yes, any special object would apply here. I'm not sure if they are any other examples, but this would mainly only apply to those characters that would equip themselves to another character when KO'd, and only in that circumstance, not if those 'entities' started the game equipped to a character already.

I would disagree with this. I understand the power to mean that if the gem was equipped to Cap before the game started then it did not start as an object. I understand the "starting as an object " to mean that it started as an object on the map. That is how I'm seeing this.

I understand what you are saying, however, an object is an object, whether on the map or off it. It also doesn't matter when this object begins the game, it can come in from outside the game due to some other effect. Again, this is really only limiting characters that become objects upon ko, and 'maybe' some equipment that does not come in the form of an object.

Character equipment was still modern when Speed Demon was designed.
So, yes, it is just to differentiate between Ion (a character equipment) and the Time Gem (an equipment-object).

I wouldn't worry about it. Speed Demon is NEVER hitting Captain America that hard.
lol, yeah, Cap wasn't the best example, just the first one I came to that started with an object equipped. He'd have to borrow a much better attack from the Syndicate and probably some perplexes to boot
