If I slap the Reality Gem on Scarab to give him two bolts, can I draw line of fire from two different objects/equipped characters on the map, or do both bolts have to originate from the same object/equipped character?
Since we're on the topic of Scarab, can he make close attacks? He can count range and LoF but isn't technically adjacent to anyone. It makes a difference if he wanted to BCF or another close-only power, or the line of fire was wonky.
He can’t make close attacks with his special. It specifies range attacks. Also specifies max damage of 1.
I assume any character that cannot be attacked beyond 5 squares cannot be attacked by him if the object/equipped character is within 5 squares but he isn’t.
I also assume he can attack someone adjacent to the object/equipped character because he isn’t adjacent to them.
Anyone wanting to prob the attack would have to be in range and LoF of Scarab and not the object/equipped character. If you gave Scarab prob, though, he could use it from an object or equipped character.
Wish that damage were penetrating the whole dial.
I don’t see $150 value out of him, even with the other great equipment trait.
The reason I ask is because of a line of fire issue like:
1O
23
Where Scarab is trying to attack character #2 from the Object, but doesn't have line of fire due to character #1 and #3 being adjacent. If Scarab was considered in that square, he'd likely be considered adjacent to make a close attack. But if all Scarab can do is draw LoF from that square, he can't draw LoF to #2.

Yeah, it's a range attack, so his line of fire is going to be blocked in that example.
