I want these clixed: Doc Savage, Fu Manchu, Tarzan, The Shadow, The Green Hornet & Kato, Conan, Solomon Kane, The Phantom, King Kong, Universal Monsters, Black Orchid, Manhunter (Paul Kirk), Xemnu the Titan, unclixed Kirby Fourth World characters, and Lilith, Daughter Of Dracula.

Russ Ballard – this was my number one going into this contest. Russ is one of the most unheralded songwriters in rock. Love this song. It’s great on a darkened blacklight dance floor and you’re swaying to that guitar rhythm.

Alice in chains - somethings never change. Alice is still the grungiest of the grunge bands.

Cheap Trick - Nice ballady rocker

Saosin - The driver keeps using the same sweet fill over and over. Loved it. This is a really good rocker.

Dream theater – these guys are exceptional musicians, but this song was not one of the best.

Shaman’s Harvest – this one had a late 90s rock feel to it.

Madonna - I was not happy with the fuzzy rhythm track.

Tusse - This came across to me as very generic pop.

Disclosure – this song would never make any of my playlists

Chris Young - country... ugh

So I've got three distinct groups here. There's the ones I really liked. The ones I thought were, eh, okay. And the ones that just weren't my thing. Within each group, the rankings were super close. Very tough to put one over another. But the spaces between the groups were, like, chasms

Dream Theater - there were some part of this I kind of liked, but also parts I really didn't. The parts I didn't like put it in this last group. The parts I did kept it out of the very bottom.

1. Russ Ballard - the trigger for this Same Name match. Once I saw that Cheap Trick had a song with that name, it was on. I guess this song was an important part of Miami Vice. I was overseas when that show was on so I'll have to take their word for it.
2. Alice In Chains- Even the loss of Layne Staley couldn't silence these guys.

5. Tusse- Swedish Europop but I liked it.
6. Madonna - I was surprised this was so likeable.
7. Dream Theater - I'm a big fan of Pull Me Under but this song didn't carry me like that song does.

9. Chris Young - passable country.
