Hawkeye’s special power:
Hawkeye can use Running Shot. Each time Hawkeye hits an opposing character with a range attack, after actions resolve, he can use Running Shot again as a free action, but only to target a character that wasn't attacked this turn.
Lasso effect (post-errata):
Incapacitate, Range of 4. // FREE: Make an attack using Incapacitate and must give action tokens.
Recently acquired both of these and had a couple questions about how they interact.
1. According to the errata, one of the effects of the lasso is “range of 4.” If I equip Hawkeye with the lasso, can he still use his 8 range, or is it reduced to 4?
2. If he can still shoot 8 squares away, can he do so with the free action Incapacitate or is that still limited to 4 squares?
3. If Hawkeye hits character A with a range attack from a costed action, then misses character B with his special power, could he use the free incapacitate to attack character A again and then use his special power again to running shot and attack character C? (My understanding is that he would be able to.)

s002 Lasso of Truth
[E] EFFECT: Incapacitate, Range of 4. // FREE: Make an attack using Incapacitate and must give action tokens. If the equipped character has [WW Team Ability Symbol], all other characters adjacent to an original target also become targets. // FREE: If the equipped character is named Wonder Woman, remove this object from the game and don't score it. If you do, equip that Wonder Woman with any other Wonder Woman Equipment from outside the game.
1) The lasso says "Incapacitate, Range of 4" meaning the equipped figure using incapacitate with the lasso as the source of the power has range 4. If Hawkeye is not used Incapacitate (from the lasso) his range will not be substituted.
2) If he uses Incapacitate, with the Lasso as the source of the power, his range will replace with 4.
3) Hawkeye's special power stated that he needs to hit with Range Attack. It does not state the need not have missed his earlier attack, nor that it must have been activated with RANGE or part of Running Shot. Hawkeye would be able to use a Running Shot as FREE after successfully attacking a character with FREE Incapacitate.
If any of the sentences would make more sense if the verb (or any other word) was a negative please treat it as such.

Thank you! Do you know whether there’s a specific point in the rulebook that indicates that this is the case or is it just worded strangely?

"//" separate different effects within an ability or power.
"21.1e “//”
If a power or ability contains multiple actions, multiple triggered effects, or multiple passive effects, and it’s unclear where one effect would end and another completely separate effect would begin, double slashes (//) are used to separate them." (page 50)
So "Incapacitate, Range of 4" means Incapaciate with a range of 4. If Range 4 was supposed to be separate from using Incapacitate it will also be separate by //.
If range 4 was not supposed to be a replacement value the the Equipment Effect would state it's it minimum Range 4 (then Hawkeye would use his Range 8 as it is higher).
Note: If Hawkeye has another source of Incapciate he could use the second Lasso effect with his full range (since the effect does not state that the Lasso need to be the source of Incapacitate used).
