Best Characters to use with Convention Iceman MVP24-002
So part of me wants to just use the 100pt line for +1 to all combat values and run out some killers, AV60 Black Skull, XMRF Gladiator Prime...what are some other top 100pt dials???
Also, the 75 pt line is pretty nice, +1 to attack and defend, what are some awesome pieces that would go with a team on that level?
We usually play 400pt games at home, so that is our preferred pt total.
For my 100 point team, I am trying Rainbow Superman since the proxy will also get the stat bump, Black Lantern Green Arrow with one of the Avatars probably Taweret, and Christopher Reeves Superman since I just got him. I may also play the Prime Destroyer. Haven’t done it yet but will be trying it soon.
I just played him this weekend at 75pts in an 400 Silver event. The team was -
Blackheart (xmrf055) with Soulword
Daredevil (smba044) with Billy Clubs
Deadpool (affe063) with Motorcycle on Combat Reflexes/Move 1
Wolverinepool (dwx057) and of course
Iceman (mvp24-002)
I threw it together the night before and it was more fun than competitive as you can see. What I like is at 75 points each in a 400 point game I have just the right amount of points for some decent equipment. I happened to have an opponent playing the Iceman at 100pts. His team was -
His team was even more squishy and Spider-Carnage is certainly not even close to worth that amount of points nowadays.
One question we both had come up because of Gladiator's Shi'ar Soldiers and Blackheart's Hellfire Guards is if them coming on the map ruin Iceman's stat bumps as the power reads -
If all non-bystander characters on your force are the same point value, Iceman can use the following effect matching that point value: 50: Other friendly characters have Flight and can use Toughness.
75: Other friendly characters modify attack and defense +1 and can use Sidestep.
100: Friendly characters modify combat values +1 and can use Willpower.
Spider Carnage
Iceman
So does this mean all non-bystander characters on your "starting force" or does having a Shi'ar Guard or Hellfire Guard pop on to the map ruin the bonus? Because they are non-bystanders who don't share a point value.

So my understanding is you left out the first part, "At the beginning of the game" so since none of them have been generated yet, they won't ruin the bonus and we have been playing it with them getting the +1 bump, cause it says, "Friendly Characters"...

That's the problem though, the card doesn't say "At the beginning of the game..."
