Flying (hovering) figure able to make ranged attack when based on different target?
Title pretty much says it all...
I have Green Lantern. Hellboy bases me. Is Green Lantern able to make a ranged combat attack at a different figure then Hellboy while still based? He is hovering, not soaring.
I thought someone had told me that they could now, but this weekend the Judge said no.
Any thoughts?
ps - I understand a flier can now make a ranged combat attack against the person that has based him
Always could make the "I'm a flyer so I get a ranged attack" against the guy basing them. It was after NAAT and FCCF that they decided that a flyer can also shoot another character not in base contact while being based by an opposing figure. Line of site must still be established.
"They shall learn that it is not for nothing we are called....The Avengers!"

God####...I was all down on myself because I politely asked the Judge twice about this question, and the other ppl in the tournament agreed with the Judge, so I felt like a dud
thanks for the clarification..
Can anyone link to the FAQ or Rules update that backs this up?
Replace the text following Hovering, page 18, with the following: "Hovering characters can make ranged combat attacks against adjacent and non-adjacent opposing characters to which they have a clear line of fire, even when adjacent to opposing characters. "
