OK I have another question. Can Jean Grey pick up wolverine with TK and put him into hand to hand where he then attacks immediately? Or is it the same as flying where they can't have an action, but don't get a counter?

Yep, she can move him in and he can attack immediately. That's what makes Telekinesis so sweet.
