Does damage recieved by mind control get reduced by her invulnerability? It only says in the newest rules the person takes damage so wouldn't it be reduced.

Could someone please explain why damage reducing powers don't reduce this. It never states this that anywhere I can find. I just looked through the newest rules and can't find anything. I read the newest powers cards also.

but doesn't it say that damage taken = damage dealt after modifaction? So wouldn't that make me correct?

I am sorry I am not tring to argue. I just need to know this exactly because my Judge likes to "mold" the rules to him and his friends liking and things I have gotten from judges here before he has manipulated over and over again. He then if finally proven wrong will house rule it his way. So I am very sorry if I am trying to be picky about this.

I don't think you are arguing, I think you are requesting further clarification, which I am more than happy to provide.

Here is the normal sequence of events:

1. A character is dealt damage. Most of the time, this is a result of an attack, but some Powers (such as Poison) also deal damage.

2. Any powers that state "When this character is dealt damage...." activate. This includes Toughness, Invulnerability, Impervious, and Mastermind.

3. After the above mpowers are calculated, the result is the damage taken by the character.

4. Click the dial a number of times equal to the damage taken.

Mind Control says this:
So you see, the 'feedback' damage from MC is damage taken, which is after powers like Invulnerability kick in.

If it said "This character is dealt 1 damage...." instead, then Invulnerability would reduce the damage.
