You'll pretty much choose Colossal as her damage symbol for most games and circumstances, effectively making her 11 Speed, 11 Attack (for 4 clicks), 18 defense (for 7 clicks), and 4 damage (for 5 clicks) with Giant Reach: 3 and Colossal Stamina. That is a serious package for only 100 points. Her limited keywords are the only thing making her less desirable in constructed teams.
This gal was my MVP at the sealed Regionals back in March or whenever; she came unbearably close to taking down a Kingdom Come Superman in the final round. Her ability to carry and, when necessary, BE carried was amazing- especially paired with a couple Metal Men and the common sidestep-defense Superman, who could pull her away to hide and regen. Her long dial makes a Weird Resurrection basically 50-50, which is nice odds, and then she can Regen some more. Don't know why I'd ever play her at the 50 point line.
She seems like an easy target for 100 points. However, if your opponent doesn't know her she can attack from 9 squares away. Choose colossal and her charge is 6 spaces with 3 range. Add in Chief's friendly sidestep and its an 11 square attack with an 11 attack and 4 damage. If you can get Mento close enough he can TK her back from 7 squares away.
WIN/LOSS: 7-3 Rita Farr is a super-star for me. +1 to combat values with Colossal keeps her value up even in 2019 (prior to 2019 she was insanely strong). Long life. Regen throughout her dial allowing her to heal to top click, lots of Perplex and few people know about her. So much so I was actually given her during a pass-the-trash game where opponent's gave you a team. Muhahaha! Weird Resurrection is likely to work for her, giving her more value for her 100 points. I've yet to use her at 50 due to her strong top click. Important to Doom Patrol teams as either their only taxi or saving an action by being taxied (when choosing tiny), Rita is my kinda gal!
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
This version of Rita Farr was the star of my (non-themed, tv-inspired) Doom Patrol team in 2020. She stood strong as a colossal: Regenerating to top-dial and coming back via "Weird Resurrection". It is important to get the first hit with her because without move+attack you are relying on her size-changing ability to hit with Giant Reach or to be moved by friends as a Tiny. She has a subtle extra trick with the long runs of Perplex, but her job is to hit and to hit hard.
