The selecting powers is nice but really its the reducing damage to 1 that makes him brutal. If you can choose something like Psyblast and Impervious it can really make it tough for your opponent to get him down all those clicks. He also partners well with uncommon Luthor who can choose a few powers himself and gets other ones through various teamups.

But wouldn't Amazo not even be able to use Pen/Psyblast? His dial here says he has a 0 range, unless that's wrong. You could take it just to guarentee the max 1 damage, but I feel like there's better powers for him to use. I definitely agree on the Imperv though.

He also takes the range value.

I feel like there are a lot of power granting pieces that can help him until he sups up (LE Batgirl that gives empower/enhancement to her perplex target for ex). He's got potential.

Amazo will be great for Robot teams; I would absolutely play him over Ultron at 100. He can take the onslaught of Prime Batman and Vulture with his (meaning Amazo's) Danger Room buddies.

Offensively, he gives CAAV Ultron @100 points a run for its money. Not quite as durable as XDPS Nimrod, but certainly a solid alternative if you can take advantage of a Team Up effect and/or want a smaller target for opponents.

Correction, he doesn't work all that great with uncommon Luthor after all. Luthor picks his powers with FREE and Amazo chooses at start of turn. Drat!

Are there any other sideline active Justice league characters besides the BTAS chases? Or are those the only modern way to use the team up cards?

Any character can be on your sideline, they don’t have to have a SIDELINE ACTIVE trait. Also, Amazo’s TUCs specifically dictate that the sideline characters can’t be used for any other purpose, including Troublalert (I believe). You also can’t have Amazo TUC sideline characters and Troubalert on your sideline simultaneously.

I played this pieced as Galactus' Herald. The Galactus from Galactic Guardians is a great piece to help make this Amazo awesome and even powerful, giving Amazo a 12 range, boost in stats, running shot, pulse wave/psychic blast and impervious. Oh, yeah, protect him for outwit.

just tried a friendly home game with a dozen of him plus the gold Amazo and one Justice Lord superman robot for 1800 points against the old colossal Spectre. pretty much slaughtered Spectre.

As far as I understand it INVINCIBLE ANDROID BODY is damage reducing power, so he'll be able to use it or Invincible/Impervious/Invurnable/Toughness per attack.
So you can use Android body to take only 1 damage and then reduce to 0 with another power.
