The Soul Gem is where it's at. FREE Regeneration means that he's healing an average of 2 clicks per turn. On top of 11 clicks of life, Steal Energy from range, and damage reducers that are protected from penetrating damage and Outwit, KO'ing him is going to require a lot of effort. Roll higher than a 2, for his Trait, and he comes an absolute powerhouse.
You got to assume on average you are only going to get to pick 2 gems, the problem is other than his attack and range values all his other stats are just not great. For 175 points i would want to be picking 3 or 4 gems pretty consistently to get him worth his points. He's just going to die way too fast. Way better Thanos options out there.
DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK! I been here for years;
I'm rocking my peers putting suckas in fear;
Making the tears rain down like a monsoon;
Listen to the bass go BOOM!
Explosions overpowering;
Over the competition I'm towering;
Wrecking shop when I drop....Mama said knock you out! He'll still 185pts when I play him with the API Power Gem BWAHAHAHAHAAAAA. One less choice to make and its better.

I love this, my only wish was for him to have a chance at using all 6 in a turn. Something like: When Thanos KOs a character of (X point value or more) give him an Infinity token (MAX: 3). At the beginning of your turn, roll a d6 and choose a number of Infinity Gem effect(s) equal to half the result + X (where X is the number of Infinity tokens he has) from the list below.

I saw this card/figure used pretty effectively today. And my friend was only using the offensive aspects of the card. That free mind control is pretty damn good if Thanos can’t willpower his way from 2 action tokens and still damn good if Thanos can already attack that turn.
this may actually be the best legacy card upgrade to date... they gave this guy so much. he can do so much. if you don't build with facing him in mind you're gonna have problems. he's stupid broken meta good. reminds me a bit of the WoS Cosmic-Spidey when he came out back in the day, but at nearly half the value, meaning you can actually play him in 300 point games and give him adequate support. A Thanos figure worthy of the name.
I was curious to what level of borkenness this would be and facing it, I can say it is a solid reminder WK does not have the designers to make a balanced game. This piece has too many rules it breaks and the only way to beat it is either horrid / great dice rolls and/or using other broken stuff. Free anything should be limited - it ain't. Ignoring anything should be limited. It ain't. MC from 10 out and even when based means Thanos' low damage output is irrelevant - every turn he is getting your good stuff to attack your stuff, running them back to their starting areas and he is completely immune to terrain effects. Then he can phase away. At this point he has not used a single action. He can still just target and deal damage from 10 out afterwards. Reducing pen damage and making him unoutwittable makes his dial feel even longer than it is. If you can get across the board in a turn and if you can give Thanos immobile and if you can fire off multiple huge damage attacks, you can drop him. But once again, WK gives the local venues the middle finger (NPE / Drive out players) with the expectation they can extract as much cash from those players who enjoy their mastubatory fun.

Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Can anyone coroborrate Goop's claim that he's "going to die way too fast"? This dial gives me the opposite impression. Can anyone who has seen him on the map confirm?
So I know his skill set is already ridiculous, but I think the 007 Cosmic Cube is a good pairing. Especially to give options for defense. Choose Imperv every turn. If your opponent chooses to bless you with +1 defense, you reward them with shape change. Or to give him pen blast or exploit to make sure his lower damage sticks.
Piece has Improved Targeting Destroy Blocking, not Improved Targeting Blocking. There is a starbust printed on his improved blocking (use a magnifying glass if you can't see it); so he can't mind control through all the walls on realm of death, sorry.
so, he get to choose half the role GEMS not powers right? (each gem have more than one power). (just to make sure it is gems and not powers)
and also: what happen if you roll 3 or 5. is round up or round down? the quantity of gems you can choice?
finally, what exactly means that he can reduce penetrating damage?? (I know penetrating damage is that it can ignore defense like impervius, inv or toufness, but don't know what this power do, it ignore penetrating damage? or reduce to what? by 1, 2? all?)
