EGO GEM and new equip rules

Hi,

Reading the rules I conclude that for example the Thanos 079 (ultrachase) can enter with all the gems at the beginning of the game, is it so?

If not, how can I equip my Thanos with several gems at the same time?

When assigning equipment, only standard characters may be assigned. A character can only have one equipment assigned to it during force construction, even if it may be equipped with multiple equipment. A character that is assigned an equipment will start the game with that equipment equipped. Characters that can’t be equipped cannot have equipment assigned to them.

- A long walk on the beach.
- A Romantic dinner.
- Bird and/or whalewatching.

I would say that you....uhh, I mean your friend.....and Thanos can do all those special things on the Avengers Island map from What If?, as well as Muir Island from Xavier's School.

Play characters with the other Gems equipped, and then swap them out at the beginning of the game so the Gems drop. Play at least one character with leadership that can remove tokens from Thanos to increase your odds of having him not be toked. Use Free TKers like Venom Magneto or Polaris to save on actions. Play Molecule Man and other free Barrier pieces to try and keep your opponent away. Hopefully You'll be able to equip everything to Thanos before the game ends.

Yes, you can't assign more than one piece of equipment to the same character.

Nightcrawler already covered why.

If any of the sentences would make more sense if the verb (or any other word) was a negative please treat it as such.

What about figures that have traits specifically staying they may begin the game equipped with multiple pieces of equipment? For instance,

Is Red Gobby still able to start the game with both pieces equipped since his trait specifically states that not only can he be equipped with both but also that he starts the game equipped with both, or do the assignment rules overwrite that?

Some characters have traits that let them start the game with equipment. When using these characters, you must indicate if you will be using their trait that grants them equipment or if you will be assigning them equipment.

If you choose to use their trait that lets start the game with equipment, you may not assign them equipment during force construction (they still gain the equipment they start the game with that comes from outside the game).

If you choose to assign them equipment during force construction, then you may not use the part of the trait that allows them to start the game with equipment (they may still use any other effects the trait may grant).

If you choose to use their start the game trait you would be able to start with both (if you are using the 110 point dial).
