I played a few scenarios from the Marvel HeroClix: Spider-Man Beyond Amazing Miniatures Game. But as we played we hit a bit of a problem for us. As each character is at 30 points and standard size, can anyone then carry anyone else?
In the PAC under Carry it says: "Before beginning movement, you may choose one adjacent friendly character of smaller size". In the recents 2023 HeroClix Comprehensive Rulebook under 21.2 Size on page 57 there this list of sizes:
"Characters can be one of four different sizes indicated by the damage symbol they can
use (in order of smallest to largest size):
▪ Tiny [ ]
▪ Standard [ ]
▪ Giant [ ]
▪ Colossal [ ]"
It's the same as this 2015 Size Chart. http://heroclix.com/wp-content/uploa...Chart-PDF1.pdf
Can a Standard sized character then carry only a Tiny sized character? And again all these 30 point characters are Standard size and can't carry each other?
We understand characters with Flight having "This character can use the Carry ability to carry up to X characters, including characters that are the same size".
Standard sized Flight characters can then carry other Standard characters including other Flight characters?
Carry is something anyone can do, but only to affect a character of a smaller size. So yes, a standard character can only carry a tiny character. Likewise a Giant can carry a Standard.
But! The Wing symbol grants you Passenger.
Passenger lets you carry figures the same size.
"This character can use the Carry ability to carry up to X characters, including characters
that are the same size. A character with Passenger: 0 can’t use the Carry ability."
Of the miniatures game, only Spider-Woman has the wing symbol, so she'd be the only one who could carry another standard size character. I don't think any of the figures are tiny, so unless a scenario includes a way to grant another character the Tiny size status, no one could carry except Spider-Woman.

To add something here, some characters explicitly get traits or powers that give them the Passenger symbol and a number to show how many characters they can carry around, even if they aren't able to fly.

Thanks a lot. Then new rules do make it easier but sometimes something pops up.
