I haven't seen these particulars discussed yet so far with Fastball, so excuse me if it was clarified earlier.

IF the Crusade TA used fastball special {and I assume there are no crusaders that do as of yet} would the team ability kick in with a successful attack?


now the biggie. Lets say the tosser throws his teammate, who happens to have super strength AND is holding an object.

#1: Does the object add to the damage dealt?

#2: since attacking with an object cost its own action is this one case where the Tosser CANNOT and MUST NOT use the object in an attack? Thus the object is saved for another round of close combat attacks?

And this one has been covered, but I forget, when the victims' Mystic/Cross Gen TA kicks in...who takes the damage...Tosser or Tossee?

A fig cannot throw another fig that is holding an object.

The attacker takes a click of damage (the tosser).

you might want to faq that?

I assume the reason is that a figure with an object MUST use the object in a close combat attack, and Since the Feat is not following the criteria for using an object in a close combat attack, this very nature of holding an object disallows the Fastball event.

Of course there could be another reason for your answer, but the one I concluded followed a less than crystal clear path to achieve the answer {which is already in the rules} but I could see this being a Frequently Asked Question.

Or am just missing the obvious somewhere?

It's simply following the precedent set with "you can't carry a fig thats holding an object". No other reasoning was really considered.

It's the first time its been asked. After a quick glance at the Crusade team ability, it seems kosher. Any arguments against it?
