i was testing one of my teams today that had V Ultimate Spidey with the Pounce Feat card. Spidey has Super Strength. Can he pick up an object and then pounce with it doing an extra 3 pts of damage (+1 for pounce and +2 for a light object)? Even if it takes two separate actions to do so.

Yes, he can do that, though you get the +2 only for a heavy object.

As a matter of fact, if the movement from his pounce (since pounce gives you a move action) takes him past an object, he could scoop it up as part of the attack, without needing to use a separate action to do so.

1) You can pick up an item mid-pounce. Items are picked up during any type of move action.

2) Light objects add 1 to damage when used in close combat, 2 when thrown. Heavy objects are 2 damage, 3 when thrown.

Other than that, pounce away with your bad self. That's my personal favorite spidey to put pounce on. Gotta love that attack for a 58 point piece.

This doesn't just change the answer, but for clarity:

Pounce is a power action that allows movement followed by a close combat attack. There is no move action involved with Pounce.

Super Strength allows a character to pick up an object during a move action or power action with movement.

Right, but you can't use Leap/Climb during the Pounce action.

rosttercel, the damage Spidey would do with a successful Pounce attack carrying a light object would be:

2 Spidey's base damage to Pounce,
+1 from the Pounce card,
+1 from the Light Object he's carrying,
----
4 total.

5 total if object is heavy.

right...I forgot that light objects only add 1 when carried. thanks guys. that clarified things.

Not being able to leap climb while pouncing is a really STUPID rule loop.

its to prevent abuse of this feat, or a L/C character could hide on a roof and make a sniper charge attack. or worse a pouncer would become a new member of the 'turtle' squad and sit back behind the front line of stealthed figures.

Its better this way. Trust me.
