I'd like to know if the Outsiders team ability can work to counter abilities like 2000A.D. and Ultimate X-Men, which modify attack values, but do not explicitly say they "target" the character using them. It's because of the wording of Outsiders that I'm not clear on this.

I'm pretty sure that if you use a TA such as 2000AD or Ult X-Men then you are "targeting" yourself. I think Hair10 has looked into this, hope I helped.

I would say no it isn't effected by outsiders ta because the attack roll is whats modified not the character's stats.

Landcastle, the thing we're debating is that the Outsiders TA reads if a figure is the target of any modifiers. But since you use 2000AD and Ult. X-Men on yourself, we're not sure if you "target" yourself, or if it just kinda happens. Hope that makes since...

It does and it's pending with RCE, CCE, ESD, etc.

I hope it does let you do that, to give some use to the team ability. Otherwise it really is pretty useless...
