i only play heroclix with three other friends and we usually play every friday night
recently we have noticed that the feat card situation has gotten completely out of hand. we use poker chips as action tokens, but recently we also use them as "feat flags" and we began to notice that some figures had like three or four feat flags on them... (mole man was nearly looking blockbuster in the eye!)
also, we've noticed that we now simply assume all figures to be 10 points more than their printing values when making teams so they can all have ICWO
does anyone have any ideas about potential house rules to reign in really out of control feat card use?
we considered:
1)Only one feat card per figure
2)Only of a type of feat card per team (except ICWO obviously)
3)Only use of ICWO if you actually own oracle (quickly shot down since im the only one who DOES own oracle)
4)not more than 5-10% of total team can be feat cards
5)no point spillage (we allow a 4 point margin of error i.e. a 304 point team in a 300 point game)
None except for 4 seem to really provide a good solution
all of them are bad ideas you guys will get used to your rules and when you do get bored playing each other and goto tournys youll get smoked just kill the feat card monster and take the pts
It makes me mad when people say I turned and ran like a scared rabbit. Maybe it was like an angry rabbit, who was running to go fight in another fight, away from the first fight.
On option: Only one feat card per character, but you can assign them any way you like.
For instance: If you have six figs, then you can put all six feats on one character if you want.
In order to limit ICWO, you might say that each agent counts as a feat card for the purpose of this limit. The other feats tend to keep themselves in-line just by their cost.
