1) If someone with defend (KC WW or LE Invisible Woman for example) is ICWO, can they up their defense and then share their uped defense? For my examples, could they give everyone around them a 19?
2) If someone with ESD is in hindering, does that max out their ranged defense at the rule of 3? Does that mean they can't use ICWO to up it one more?
3) Someone who is sharing someone else's defense can stil use ESD and hindering and ICWO to up their own defense, because the Defend power uses replacement values and not modifiers, correct?
Thanks in advance.
Come play in a mafia game! Hey! I'm talking to you, Scott Pilgrim!
1) Nope. Defend, JSA, and Defenders all share the unmodified value. ICwO is a modifier.
2) Yes.
3) Yes - but still subjected to the Rule of 3. So Human Torch could stand next to his sister and gain an unmodified defensive value of 18. His ES/D would boost that to 20. Now he could use either ICwO or Hindering to further boost it to 21.
Hope that helps.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Whoops - quick fix. I just remembered part of this is still pending:

I think its still pending whether you can ICwO your defense after taking into account JSA, Defenders, or Defend since you aren't using Defend until after you've stated you're using ICwO.
Hope that makes sense.

Or rather the replacement value would replace the modified value. But yep...it's still pending. But the current ruling by Hair10 (until it gets finalized) is that you cannot use ICWO and a replacement value.
