I believe the Enhancement vs Perplex on EE has to do w/ the timing. With Perplex you have to use it before you do anything w/ that character so you COULD Perplex up an EE figure's damage but when you went to use EE it would get bumped down to 1 no matter what. Enhancement can be used after you make the action so even after you declare an EE attack and the damage goes to 1 the Enhancement bumps it back up to 2.
V Iron Man is not a great piece for his points. That's really your problem, not BCF figures. His attack is way too low for what you pay. Same w/ REV Superman. Just not a very well-designed dial. And for every BCF figure I've had roll a 6 on a high point character I've had just as many roll a 1 or 2 and do no damage at all.
absolutvt69 Pretty much summed it up in a nutshell.
Perplex happens before the attack and the EE power reduces it down.
Enhancement increases the damage after EE has reduced it down.
@SuperHiepsi: I think a malaise has set in on the realms and people are looking for stimulus to break them out of their funk. The easiest way to do that is to pick a fight. You just happened to provide a convenitent vehicle to allow them to vent. I'd do what you did and continue to push on and ask questions.
About BCF: I think it's a bit powerful but you are paying for the chance to do 6 point of damage. There is no guarantee you'll always hit that 6. If you want to better your odd you have to include some Probability controllers. Well that just added to you build total and unless you are using the free moving destiny (which I'll admit most do) you also have to give up some of your actions a turn to move that piece into place to support you BCF'er.
About IronMan and REV Superman: Those pieces are poorly constructed and will lose more times than not. No way around that. Those pieces only get played for love. Now if you want good replacements for those two pieces try these:
U Iron Man: Ultimates TA will allow him to see any of those hidden Electras and Blast a couple of them into uselessness at a time. His range and Running shot will ensure he always gets the first attack in.
U KC Superman: This this the King Daddy of the clix. You get the KC team ability so those pesky BCF folks have to roll to base you and Five Clicks of Flying Hypersonic speed. With the Flying/HSS combo you go where you want when you want and that's after you either push multiple turns in a row crushing you opponent or they are foolish enough to BCF you into your awesome clicks. If you have an outdoor map you start in soaring where they can't touch you.
If you can hang on for a bit there Icons is coming out with what promises to be a playable version of REV Superman.
Fantastic Forces also offers the Thunderbolts feat card to allow Ironman to change teams. How about if Vet Ironman was suddenly an Ultimate and could see those pesky Elektras hiding in the stealth? Sound a little better? I hope so, cuz I'm trying to get you pumped back up!
I'm done now. Chin up and keep the torch burning for your favorites. If you don't play them who will?

So let me get this straight you think just because Iron Man can whip someones butts in the comics . He shouldn't have his butt handed to him in a game .
You are right, that is how I think it should be. You are also right that I should quit complaining and build an army. That has been my solution more often than not.
Sorry man.....I don't mean to be hard on you. To be honest I do understand where you are coming. Absolutvt69 for the past couple of months has been schooling me in heroclix. But I wouldn't have half the knowledge I have if I wasn't getting my butt kicked by him. You just got to go with the blows and realize yes it's based off a comic books but it really wouldn't be that much fun if what happened in the comics happened in the game
First of all, thanks everybody for your prompt and helpful answers. The few doubts I had about heroclix rulings are mostly gone now.

Well the attacks certainly stimulated me out of my funk, so I understand them...

The 6 is not the problem. The designers seem to have overlooked the average damage of BCF is 3.5, which is significantly higher than the average damage of similarly-priced figures without BCF. That is what makes it overpowered.

I know they are, let us say, misdesigned; that is why I used them as an example. The well-designed heavies would have not illustrated my point so well. If I had said "look, for example Doc Doom..." I would have had to end up eating my words.

I am SO counting on Icons to bring playability back to my faves.

I completely disagree of course. I get the most fun the more the game resembles the battles portrayed in the comics. Other than that, as I said you are absolutely right about me, so what else can I say? You don't have to apologize.
Yeah ....but seriously this game would be as much fun if it was accurate. To be honest I don't think anyone would play this game if it was like that. To many Thor U vs Thor U battles. Which already happens.
