can an opposing fig charge base to base to a giant fig? or do they have to stop the charge two squares away?
BEcause the charging figure enters base contact with the Giant figure from two spaces away, its movement stops. Since it is NOT considered based to the giant figure for close combat purposes, it cannot make its attack.
It would work if the charger is also a giant, right?
Nope. Giant figures have a two square adjacency, to and from them. Giants do not get to ignore their own adjacency. Sadly, they work differently than the KC ability where opposing figures with same team symbol can ignore KC. Giants do not get to ignore other giants' adjacency.
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
ok...can i get a second on this one? ARE charging flyers the exception to the rule? what other exceptions are their? there always seems to be an exception or it seems lately, many exceptions.
Ok, here's a list (my list, at least) for ways to move into base contact and attack a giant figure on the same turn:
- Hypersonic Speed (flier or not)
- Charge with a giant figure (Atlas, Steel, and whatshisface)
- Charge with a flier
- TK - during TK you ignore adjacency, so you can TK someone right next to 'em
