i have a bunch of heroclix but never ever played the game...
anywas my question is
a game came down to the vet superman from icons against an vet version of spider man from some set...
anyways anytime spider man made a successful attack on superman cant superman just keeep using the ability impervious (i think its called that) where u roll a dice so that 5-6 reduces to 0 damage and 1-4 reduces 2 damage...meaning theres no way spiderman can hurt him unless he somehow hits knockback damage?

Maybe i dont understand the rules let me know
It depends on a few things. First, if Spiderman has a damage of 2, he can get a Critical Hit on Superman to cause 1 damage, provided Superman rolls a 1-4. Knockback isn't going to hurt Superman while he has Impervious. Damage is done seperately. And Knockback only occurs when the proper dice are rolled and damage is dealt. If Spiderman rolled two 5s, Superman's impervious would reduce the damage to 0 and Superman wouldn't move anywhere.
Also, if Spiderman was equipped with Armor Piercing, each successful attack would deal 1 click of Damage to Superman regardless of successful Impervious rolls.
Some Spiderman pieces have Superstrength. With an object, they can do more damage.
Some Spiderman pieces also gain Outwit. Provided Superman doesn't have Fortitude, you can Outwit his Impervious.
if Spiderman is showing 2 damage value, he could roll a critical hit (Double 6s on the attack dice) for a total of 3, which could on a lucky impervious roll, result in 1 click of damage. Also, if Spiderman has Incappacitate he could use that to cause non reducable damage if it forces Supes to push. Some Spidermen have Super Strength. If Spidey is carrying a light or heavy (preferably a heavy) object, then he would be doing enough damage to hurt superman. It all depends on which Spiderman is going up against the big boy.
