What if you put infiltration on a couple people? Do those figures have to have an empty space in the start up to represent their pre-game start? Or could you have all the start-up spaces full and also have a few guys with infiltration? Just asking.
With infiltration you can fill up your entire starting area and then all hindering terrain within the limits laid out by the card. The card deals with when you are actually setting down the team as opposed to setting up and then moving the figures before the game starts.

The problem with that it Infiltration is a BFC and you may only play it once in any given tournament. And if your opponent happens to play Ordinary Day, you might not even get that one use out of it.
So there you are, with no Infiltration, and a team that is not legal since it all can't fit in the starting area... In other word, Inflitration is *not* the magic bandaid to cure this problem. You still can't build a team that has more figures than spaces in the starting area.

... I dont believe I ever said it was. He asked if, by using infiltration, he could lay more figures on the map than can fit in his starting area. The answer is yes. He never mentioned tournaments nor asked what happens if someone Ordinary Days it.

So he did, so he did...
But that doesn't change the fact that, unless he plays exclusively at home with friends, he *does* need to think about tournaments and the likelyhood of getting hit with an Ordinary Day. The answer you gave him, while technically correct, doesn't really do him any good outside of friendly play.
I am not trying to start anything here. I just want to make sure everyone has all the information. I'd hate for someone to make a huge team and show up at a tournament, thinking they can play it, just because they remembered to bring an Infiltration card with them.
I didn't say your points weren't valid or even good.
As you say, special consideration must be given to your teams, especially when you are playing in a tournament. Other than the standard tournament rules, you really do need to check what powers, feats, and BFCs will cause you problems (such as being disqualified) :D.
