So I have been playing long enough to know this by now. Shame on me I know but sometimes 2 jobs and chasing women gets in the way of staying up to date on the rules.
1. What powers is pounce compatable with? Right now I am thinking only steal energy and super strength. Is this correct?
2. I pounce someone and successfully hit them with the lamp post. They have no object tokens at this point. They use the protected feat thereby giving them a token. Do they still take the token for the lamp post incapacitating them? That would give them 2 tokens and push them correct? This has been a subject of controversy for me and a couple of friends lately.
Have no worries. There will be no HeroClix 2.0 while I'm working on the game. - Seth Johnson

Correct, due to the fact that Pounce only grants free close combat attacks, not actions. Same wording as HSS option 1 and Transporter move and attack (except those allow ranged attacks, too).

Yes. All Protected does is cause the user to ignore the damage dealt from the action. It does not cause the attack to miss completely (like Super Senses). So, if the user of Protected is hit with either Stunning Blow or the Lamp Post 3d object, the damage is ignore but the attack was still successful; the token is placed on the character.
Thanks for the quick reply. Pouncing spidey becomes more broken with each new set. He ignores the effects of the IIF battlefield card and can still cause problems with protected figures even if they have no objects tokens on them.

Only if he's got a Lamp Post. Just remember you can't use his Incap when Pouncing (Incap is Close or Ranged Combat Action and Pounce only grants a free Close Combat Attack, so no Incap).
I personally see many more people using either the Desk or Soda Machine around these parts; the Lamp Post hardly ever sees play.
Can one perplex the damage value of pounce over 2? I'm trying to figure out if the card's requirement is for printed value of total value.
Perplexing to a three would break the prerequisites for Pounce, so that can't be done. Along the same lines, you can not modify down to 2 to meet the prerequisites either.
