The key to his strategy though was the V Ultimate Spiderman with Willpower and wildcard you can have 4 object ready and rearing to go by turn 2. Any other Superstrength on the team is gravy. But it's a nice battery to have. And with Debris in play. That combo would really be annoying. Your foe would almost have to target the field first. Heck of a way to deal with the alpha strike.
How would Spider-man be any different than Moonknight? He'd still only be able to move twice before he'd be forced to stop and rest on the third turn. That equals 2 obejcts, not 4. And if you mean Spider-man in addition to Moonknight, well between Spidey, MK, Rip It Up, and just one copy of Nanobots, that is 115 points right there (58 + 27 + 20 + 10) that is devoted solely to creating object for the first couple turns of a game. Add another 10 points for every addtional charcter that has a Nanobots card. That's a pretty big chunk of points, even in a 400 point game.
Meanwhile, on the first turn, V Hawkeye (at only 84 points) motors out there with a transporter move and attack and nukes the generator before you can even use it.
My point is, that while this stratgey could work, and probably will work sometimes, I really don't see it being very effective in the long run. By all means play it, especially if you have fun doing it. That's what this game is about after all, having fun. I don't expect to see it show up in any of the WW top 8 slots, though.
Although, I DO expect to see Nanobots on most of the top 8 teams. It's too useful not to be on the best teams.
Hmm...maybe, but Nanobots is one of those feats that I see a loy of players mis-using; The most common mistakes: The character using it is often not the only figure adjacent to the object (beacuse they have a buddy hiding on it).
There are a bunch of "highly competative teams" that usually get hosed at big events because the players/judges don't actually read/know the feat rules: Doubletime (w/ phasing Lockjaw) is another major problem.
I'm looking forward to playing a few games with the Proximity Mines BFC, not so much because of Nanobot abuse, but because I'm so completely bored by the "I'll place this object in row 10, and end my first turn by sitting my character on it" that the game has had since day 2.

Hear, hear! Me too! "By the way.... BOOM!"
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.

haha yeah...it'll also be great against all those pouncing rookie spidermen with dumpsters.
"i'll have spidey pick up the dumpster."
"i'll outwit spidey's superstrength."
"run away!!!!"
