This one gave me some headache the other day.

AW:

"When damage dealt is reduced by any power or effect, increase the damage dealt by 1 after it is reduced by all other game effects."

So, my question is, during calculation, is it possible for the damage total to be in a negative amount?

For example, let Lackey hit Juggernaut for 1 damage. Is it:

1 damage -2 for invulnerability = -1, +1 for AW = 0 damage

or

1 damage -2 for invulnerability = 0, +1 for AW = 1 damage



I hope you understand what I mean, being confusing is my top trait.

I believe that it is the second case. Juggs would take one click, I'm pretty sure.

Armor Wars BFC adds 1 damage after all the damage has been dealt IF damage was reduced. So it basically gets rid of toughness or works like armor peircing.
It's a good BFC to play if you have no damage reducing powers on your team cause it wouldn't affect you at all.

no its not like ap from wat i understand. if you have 3 damage and hit someone with inv. they take 1 and then it is increased by 1 after it is reduced so they take 2. thats how i percieve it to work i might be wrong.

I'm gonna stop comparing effects and powers to other effects and powers. It's just confusing people.
insane immate is correct, Armor Wars does not work like armor peircing. I only meant it is somewhat like armor peircing in that if it takes effect, you would always take at least 1 damage. You can certainly take more than that as shown in insane immates example.

what if there are 2 armor wars BFC's in play? if blizzard hit someone with toughness for 1 would it be reduced by 1 and then increased by 2? So, in effect, someone that only does 1 click of dmg can do 2 dmg to anyone with a dmg reducer? That would be crazy with EE.

It can also be used with AP to have poison do 2 damage to anyone with a damage reducing power

Whenever damage is reduced, AW adds 1 damage after all damage has been calculated and all reducers applied. So if there are 2 AW BFCs inh play, 2 damage would be added.
So yes if you do 1 damage to someone with toughness they would take 2 damage from the AW BFC's. 3 if you had armor peircing. This is because even though the damage is reduced by 0 because you are doing 1 and with AP it cannot be reduced below 1, because you are doing damage, the defensive power is activated which triggers the AW BFC.
