A few questions from a newbie (oracle, feat retirement, carrying)
I have just started to play HeroClix (I have played only 5 or so games, but I have over 700 different pieces). Anyway, I have a few questions and I haven't been able to find the answers.
First, the Oracle.
-I have read the card and it is rather vague. My understanding is that when the Oracle is on the card, an agent can declare a power action to turn the dial. The agent will gain the power displayed on the Oracle's dial.
-So, can this be any power action, or does the character simply sit still and take a token to turn the dial?
-Also, do all agents gain the power, or just the agent turning the dial?
-If only one agent gets the power, how do you denote which agent has the Oracle's power?
-If the agent chooses to use the power displayed, does he/she also get to use the +1 combat modifier option?
-The card states that the +1 modifier applies when the agent is given an action. So if the agent decides to pass, is this an action that will allow the agent to increase his/her defense? Would a free action apply for this prerequisite?
Second, retirement.
-When a set is retired, are the feat cards and battlefield conditions also retired? If so, the ICWO and Fortitude will go away?
Third, carrying.
-I know a character cannot make an action after being carried. But, can a character be carried after making an action? My justification for this is that it is my understanding that a character can move to a medic and be healed in that turn. This is similar to being carried after an action.

Welcome to the game

Turning Oracle's dial is its own, separate Power Action. You can't do it in the middle of, say, a Charge (which is another Power Action). In addition, you can only turn the dial at the beginning of your turn, so as soon as you give a character a token to do something else (attack, move, place a Barrier, etc) it is now too late to turn the dial and you will have to wait until the beginning of your next turn.

Just the one you gave the Power Action to.

The one you gave the Power Action to, which ever one has that particular action token placed next to it. If you need help remembering, write down the character name or place something on its base to remind you.

Not for using the power (Outwit, Perlex, Leadership), no. The card has some errata that specifies that a non-free action must be used to gain the +1 bonus. Since all three of those powers are free actions, they do not count. However, you could use, say, Outwit with your Agent, then have the Agent move or attack; the move or attack isn't a free action and would thus qualify for the +1 bonus.

There is no such thing as a 'pass' action. A pass is merely the absence of an action. Also, as I posted above, the errata says that free actions do not count for the bonus. To get the +1 bonus, the character must be give either a Move, Combat, or Power Action.

Yup. Everything in a retired set is retired (characters, cardboard, and LEs).

First a character can perfrom free actions after being carried, the prohibition is only against non-free actions (so a carried character could use Outwit). Second, a character can perform any kind of action it wants to perform before being carried. You could have character A attack your opponent, then character B (which was sitting next to character A) can then carry A off to safety after the attack.
