I've just got myself a Spectre and I'm playing a practice game against him at full strength vs. a JSA themed team of just under 1800pts.

I would like to know:

1. How can I take the Spectre down? I haven't been able to hit him so far... even though my team has the likes of Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel, Powergirl, Atom Smasher and Wonder Woman! (I've read that if I play 'Disbanded' it would help, but apart from BFC's...)

2. The rules say that when an 'Angry Spirit' is defeated, you have to remove the token from the battlemap (not the game), but also, whenever the Spectre is attacked, you have to place an Angry Spirit next to the attacker.

Do I keep reusing the Angry Spirit tokens or is it once you have KO'd one, its gone for good?

If you can't hit him, the consider Perplex, Hydra/PD, ICWO, etc to increase your AV and PC to help you reroll. Characters like Jinx and Domino, especially can really help out (the can pull double duty with PC plus helping to take out the Angry Spirit tokens).

Disbanded! can be useful (as it removes the Quintessence TA and makes Spectre a little less of a beast), but it also kills any TAs you may have. One of the best strategies against any big figure (Galactus, Phoenix, Spectre, etc) is ramapant wild carding... and Disbanded! would prevent that, so the choice is up to you.

If you are playing the scenario with the Angry Spirit tokens, then yes, just keep reusing them.

thanks for helping me out again.

Wizkids (UK) seem to be doing alot of promotion at movie/comic conventions here at the moment, so im finding myself able to get some of the American only figures without having to pay sky high prices on ebay.

So far I've got in the last 3 weeks alone: Dark Phoenix, Spectre w/ Paralax, the DC Giants set and a bunch of mail aways. But, as I'm the only one (that I know of) with these fig's in my town, I want to get playing them right before I take them to any games at my local store.
