Of course Nova Blast will hurt a LAMP team. Nova Blast hurts ANY team. But, if you don't have a team that is specifically built to counter LAMP, it will destroy you. There is a counter strategy for every strategy in the game.
And as for a GL Tank being able to take a LAMP team, fuggetaboutit! GL Tanks are probably more vulnerable to LAMP teams than alot of teams because of the fact that they group their pieces up tremendously (which allows for the poison to poison everyone around them).
Now that you know all those different strategies, you can do what I do every week. Play my counter teams. These teams are designed to counter as many of the big strategies. Always have an Ultimate/Superman/trickshot, cheap tie up pieces, In capacitate, phasing, more than one way of healing, and action advantage. This teams are the most balanced and do very well in tournaments.
as i was reading a thought to my self that u could have a lamp + nova blast 300pt team. but who would u put on it to fill in all the points and make it a good team to play.

I can't stress how important that is. You really do want to have a lot of pieces on your team that work GREAT with eachother, and work well independently.
5.)"Tank"-using transporters to move multiple high hitting range attackers + any type of outwitter, supporter, prob control, etc. as help.
6.)"Tank 2"-same as above but instead of using medic types and probablilty figs, using S.H.E.I.L.D., enhancers, perplex, etc.
7.)"Slingshot"??-not to sure if that's what it's called, but its basically TK'ing figs with runningshot or charge to get to the enemy from far away.
8.)Team Action-basing the entire team structer around the team ability. EX: Avengers, Fantastic 4, X-Men, Brotherhood, etc.
i know i read about more but thats as much as i can think about so far. but is there any others that i dont know about yet? what other strategies do ppl use now-a-days?
any others? i need someone to spark my imagination.
Actually, I wouldn't classify Heroclix teams in this fashion. These are more actual powers/combos to win, as opposed to strategy of how a team plays.
I think there's only 2 types of team in Heroclix, with slight variations on the kill method and point values of figures.
The big gun: U Thor, V Black Adam, V Superman, KC Superman, etc.. Add in feats and support figures, and that's the team.
Swarm: E Blackfire x 3, a crapload of Mockingbirds, V Havok, V Cyclops, U Jonah Hex, etc.. Add in feats and support figures.
Most teams out there are still big guns. It may not be obvious, but it's there. Think Joker + Lockjaws. Joker is the kill, and if he can't do his damage, you can't really win. Lockjaws are more support, to carry Joker around, and to be fodder to Mastermind. They attack when they get a chance, but that's not their role. Sometimes, the big gun is cheap enough to use cheaper damage figures as well, such as LE Jean-Marie, E Blackfire, etc., but the team is still built with the big gun and the supporting figures working together to win.
Vipers + Lockjaws are more swarm, since you have multiple Vipers to give more targets for your opponent. There's so many targets that are almost the same in danger potential that there's not really a clear target from the start, take one out, and more comes.
