If I carry a figure (lets just say Gambit) with Lockjaw. And I stop my movement with Lockjaw one square away from a KC fig. (lets say Flash). Can I drop Gambit adjacent to a KC team ability fig. (ignoring it's team ability). Seeing how I won’t be attacking, and that the Gambit figure never moved. (it was just carried).
Not to do away with simplicity and all... but I'm gonna have to say no.
"Whenever an opposing player attempts to move a character adjacent to this character, that player rolls one six-sided die. On a result of 1 or 2, the character cannot move adjacent to this chracater this turn. This character, and characters suffering knockback, ignore this team ability."
Carrying a character with a transporter is technically moving the carried piece. So if the carried piece is dropped off adjacent to the KC piece, it is still subject to the KC power and roll should be made.
I could be wrong. That's how I'd rule it at my venue anyway...
It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Then it's all fun and games without depth perception.

Actually, tyizle is right.
The TA clearly states "Whenever an opposing player attempts to move a character adjacent to this character..." In the example given, Lockjaw is the character you are attempting to move. As such, he is the only character affected by the KC TA. Gambit can be placed down next to the KC figure.
It's also ok to stop two squares away from a giant figure and place the carried figure next to the giant. (Ghost Rider is the only person for whom this would make a difference, but I just thougth I'd throw it out there.)

Unless the Giant Figure is a KC figure.
...then if you want to drop someone right next to it, you have to make the roll to move into the second square out and drop them into adjacentcy.

Here's an interesting one that we determined would be allowed with KC ability. A super strength character with Unstoppable feat charges next to a wall in which a KC character is on the other side. The Unstoppable character breaks the wall with his free attack and is then able to attack the KC character without the KC roll because the attacker never actually moved next to the KC character he just moved next to a wall and was in an adjacent square after the wall was broken.

This is fine except for the "Charge" part.
Unstoppable's "break a piece of terrain as a free action" only works during move actions. Charge is a power action. You certainly could move up to a wall that a KC character is hiding behind and break it down (thus making your character adajcent to KC character without having to roll). However, you'd have to wait until at least the next turn (or even the one after if you did not wish to push) to attack the KC character.
I would have to say that you would have to roll for Gambit to move into adjacency because technically you are attempting to move Gambit next to a KC figure but you are having Lockjaw execute the move action. Put more simply, you are attempting to move Gambit adjacent by using Lockjaw. That means you have to roll for KC. That's how I see it.

No, you are not attempting to "move" Gambit at all. Are you giving him an action (even a free one)? No, you are not. And if you are no, then he is not the one moving. And if he is not the one moving he doesn't need to roll for Kingdom Come. Simple as that.
