If I was on a step ladder, and surrounded by poisin figs, then would I still receive posin, or is it just like soaring with the same elevation.
Everyone hates Supes, I told this power player not to play him, he said he didn't care what I think, I said I would play LAMP, and he didn't even know what it was. I beat him in 5 min. The power player, will now never play Supes again.

From the Step Ladder description:
Border: Yellow
When this object occupies a square of grounded terrain adjacent to a square of elevated terrain, the squares are connected by a ladder. This object is not hindering terrain for movement purposes.
As you can see, the Step Ladder says absolutely nothing about soaring (I have no idea where you got that from ) and it doesn't even make your character elevated. All it does do is allow characters to move on to/off of elevated terrain if it is adjacent to elevated terrain (just like the normal ladders drawn on the map).
If you are just standing on the Step Ladder, it really is no different than standing on any other object. You get a hindering terrain bonus to DV for ranged combat... and that's about it. Those Poison characters adjacent to your character can Poison your character just fine.
Dang it, oh well, and i was think soaring because of the rule that since soaring is on a different level, then poisin would not affect it.

If a soaring character is next to a grounded (and I do mean grounded, not non-flier) character, then they aren't adjacent (which would make one safe from the other's Poison). In that you are quite right. Works the same way with grounded vs elevated or elevated vs soaring because they are all at different elevations.
However, nothing at all about the Step Ladder actually changes a character's elevation.
Oh well, I was going to use Ganthet against a L.A.M.P team but oh well.
