Another thing, if theoretically you had 5 or more damage and the prereq'd range value, would you have to stop when your damage went down by three or could you keep going?
Sorry. but these keep coming to me one after another.
I thought you could use it with Incap. The review of NGN Iron Man even says you can (or at least implies you can).
And SafeSeph, the prereq. is < 9 range. You can make it over 9, but you can't start over 9.
The NGN review is incorrect. AZS forgot to correct it, but the relevant clarifications were posted on the second or third page of the thread. Here it is again, for completeness.
From the Marvel E & C:
Replace the text on the card with: “Before making a ranged combat attack, the character's range may be increased for the duration of the attack by a number of squares up to its unmodified damage value. For each square the range of an attack is increased, decrease the damage value by 1 (after all other modifiers and replacements) when resolving the attack. An attack using Incapacitate does not place any action tokens on the target.”

The rule of 3 caps the increase to the range (a combat value) at +3.
Um... so... uh... you COULD use incapacitate to cause pushing damage, but the target just wouldn't get a token?
No. All Incapacitate does is add a token. That's it.
Now, if the target already happens to have a token, the addition of this second token may cause pushing damage (provided the target does not have Willpower and such), but that is not Incapacitate's doing.
