Right, because moving adjacent to an enemy figure IMMEDIATELY ends your action (given the above situations) and you can ONLY pick up an object during the move portion of your action. (just piggy-backing the thought )

And of course by "grounded" in the above posts they really mean flight-challenged, since figures with the wing speed type ignore other figures during movement all on their own.
