Guess I'm a nut but I still like the Vet better, 12 range freaks people out and that last click of 8 attack 4 damage with pulse wave can be sick sick sick.

Suddenly very glad to be trading for one of these. I wasn't terribly impressed with Starhawk's performance in a pair of Battle Royale playtests.
God is smarter than we are....
Visit Heroclixin'! Or check out my trade thread. Molly Hayes' KO list: HoT Ultron, HoT Thor, SI Iron Man, AV Wonder Man, SI Sentry, LE Diana Prince, R IC Ultron, Pretty Boy, CW Kang, IIM Thunderball, TW Catwoman, OP Red Hulk.
Each of these are very nice pieces. I had a chance to play a Squadron Supreme/Defenders TA-pure team (no ATA thank you) and the Vet Starhawk was amazing, esepcially with the ability to Running Shot into 12-range of a TKer (or the payload), so I am reluctant to sacrifice that first hit potential.
It is good to note, as ol'dut did, that using Infiltration will give you something very similar to that first shot. You can be in a space 6 squares from your starting area and shoot at a 10 range which is only one less than the Vs RS range...Plus he can do 3 damage instead of 2 which can make a big difference if you are targeting a TKer.

Don't forget his two clicks of HSS with a base 2 damage! The Armor Piercing can really come in handy there also...It's a definite add on any time I play him...I mean two targets, EE, and HSS are like THE abilties to look for when playing Armor Piercing.(He's a pretty good candidate for Damage Shield since he qualifies for it on all but one click and it's good protection against someone just picking him apart slowly and you should already have Armor Piercing on him)
Another feat that I think should be recommended is the Squadron Supreme ATA. He has a 10 range and 2 targets with pretty high attack values over all! That's a killer mind controller! AND you can put Mental Shields on her/him.
One other thing to mention...The LE can beat the V!
V RSes 12 squares away from the LE and pegs him for 2 damage(IF he is lucky enough to hit a 19 or 20 in hindering with that 9 attack)
The LE retaliates and RSes 10 squares away and pegs the V for 3 and Outwits his HSS.
The V pushes to hit the LE for 4 damage.
The LE clears...the V clears.
The LE hits the V for 2 damage after Invulnerability.
The V can't damage the LE now without a Critical Hit. Next hit the LE does kills the V.
Just interesting to note even with first strike going to the V the LE wins.
It might go down differently if the V gets into Pulse Wave range but any good player with the LE won't let that happen...
Great review ol'dut! I believe this to be the second best LE in the set!
Heroclix 5th Anniversary: Expect Nothing...you won't be as disappointed that way.

LE One-Who-Knows vs. Veteran Starhawk? This character’s bio has got to be proof that sometimes, just sometimes, crack-addicted, chain-smoking monkeys, with brains severely ravaged by syphilis and years of watching “Bosom Buddies” re-runs translated from English into Japanese, Hebrew, pig-Latin, French, Chinese and then back into English again, occasionally get to write comics if they promise to be very, very good, take their medication and refrain from flinging their poo at the new guy in Accounting (even if he really is a huge dork and totally deserves it). Make no mistake, the One Who Knows may be a gender confused, misogynistic schizophrenic with battered wife syndrome and delusions of grandeur, but he/she’s also one heck of a figure.
This may be the most amazing paragraph I've ever read.
Well, I'm glad to be able to say that I did end up winning him this week, thanks for the wishing of luck, dut!
"Come on Hulk! Where's the old boasting? The battle cries? Why aren't you bellowing about how you're 'the strongest one there is'? Could it be because... you know it's not true?"
"No. Because it's just too obvious."
