I have a question that has just recently came up in my games. I looked on the forums but can't find it, so I'm just going to ask.
If a character with outwit (or prob control, or perplex) is adjacent to an opposing character, can that character use that power on a character that is not adjacent or does that fall into the engaged rules? Much like engaged adjacent characters can't do a ranged attack on a figure that is not adjacent. Somebody please, please help me out.
That is correct. If you have a clear line of fire to the opposing figure, adjacency to another opposing figure doesn't matter.
In the same vein, remember that you cannot use those powers against an adjacent opposing figure in Stealth. Even though you are right next to him, you still need to be able to draw a clear line of fire
